So this is basically a notification to allow us to buy the games at 40% and 25% discount. I believe I shall wait for a better sale.

It probably varies by product type, but I'd be interested to see a demand curve based on discount % rather than price.

That is, assuming a product is effectively $4, how many buyers are there when it is 20% off $5, 33% off $6, 50% off $8, etc. I'm not familiar with general market research, but I bet there are a few rules of thumb out there.

I wonder if there are demand surfaces, including both effective price and discount axes. Amazon and the like must be pretty sophisticated about this, no?

Exactly. And since we've already seen some 50% off discounts for LA games recently, I think it's safe to hold out for at least that much...

Just wanted to give you a heads up on this, in case you wanna buy these games now, while we still offer the best price out there!

I did that once. Turns out he isn't a real mouse, just some asshole in a costume.
