Discount or not - I don't pre-order. Still it is nice to see it for those who do. Does anybody know if this Trine chapter will finally tell the conclusion they did not give us in Trine 3? I like the series but the unfinished Trine 3 is something that is still bothering me.

It's good to see another release from Frozenbyte. I wish they would have stuck with providing Linux versions for Trine 4 and 5. Despite that, I look forward to this release.
For a moment I forgot they made a Trine 4 lol
Oh, I'll stay with the first trilogy and wait for Linux releases of 4 and 5...

Indeed. If anything, Trine 3 seemed like it wanted to move the plot and story forward a lot. Too bad it ended after what could be considered act 1....

Trine 4 completely ignored it (other than a one-off joke after finishing the game). The game didn't work out, but they could have at least acknowledged its existence.

EDIT:
Also, can't wait for more music from Ari Pulkkinen. He absolutely nails it 100% of the time and I believe this time will be no different. A major reason why Trine is so memorable.

I thought Trine 3 looked a lot better than 4 and 5 does.

It did look very pretty. The gameplay left a lot to be desired, but it was a spectacular sightseeing tour. The story was good too, before it got soured by it suddenly ending.

This also reminds me, I should probably finally get to playing the expansion for Trine 4. I bought it a long time ago but haven't played yet...

This. I'm glad they went back to 2D (or 2.5, whatever), but I don't understand why they abandoned the story. One has nothing to do with the other. And as much as I enjoyed T4, the story was rather weak, wrapping up the story from 3 would have been much better.
Let's hope this is more like the Trine Trilogy than Trine 4.

After that last one I am definitely going to want to wait a bit before buying something else with that name.

Seeing how it's Trine 3 that's the odd one out in the series, this is a somewhat puzzling comment :D
See what I love about this is how the Trine developers took onboard what fans wanted with wanting it to stay 2D. I wish the developers of the new Asterix XXL games understood to do the opposite.
Haven't played Trine since the very first. Really enjoyed that one all those years back, but never really had the chance to go and play the sequels that came after. Heard that they had some mixed receptions with certain entries being vastly better than others.

Is Trine one of those series which is better to play the games in order?
