A cure for wellness.

The Red Strings Club is now available for pre-order at 20% off. Get it before release to receive Gods Will Be Watching as a pre-order bonus.
Genetic implants, shaped from high-tech lathe. Neon-lit bars where dreams of a better existence suffocate on cigarette smoke. A talented hacker and a fearless bartender out to expose the lies behind a mega-corporation claiming to cure all psychological ailments for the betterment of society. A cyberpunk narrative experience served shaken, not stirred.

A red string = a strangling silk cord in my books... but I guess maybe not in this game, or is it?
Looks like I'm going to hate the story. Wishlisted, will wait for a sale to rageview.
As one of the 5 people that actually liked Gods Will be Watching I'm looking forward to this one.
I dig the graphics and the story sounds quite interesting, but the "narrative experience" bit had me confused. Will wait for the reviews to see what kind of gameplay it offers, because i guess it doesn't pay much resemblance to classic point & click adventure games.
Intriguing, but I need to know more. :P
low rated
No, there isn't a soulcrushing, seemingly infinite number of indie games with pixelated "retro" graphics. Why would you even think that?

lol!

im confused about this game, the art on the store page is striking but then the game trailer turns into pixel art, which is ok then you get some close ups of very plain looking bartending/pottery mini game that looks pretty ..uh... crappy. so that leaves me lost as to what the game play is like. is it an adventure text/narrative game or some sort of food micro managing game?

will wait for some reveiws before wishlisting
I knew we'd get it day one. :)

Sorry. Sick of cyberpunk, sick of "pixel art" adventures. Gods Will Be Watching was awful, so...

PS: +1 for the artist not giving the characters ridiculous Tumblr noses like that last game.
That just made me miss Last Call even more.
I remember the old days Atari 2600 cardridges with cool pictures on it. Sadly, it never was the in game graphics. Then, I dreamt of the time when we could have such nice graphics.
37 years later, you can at large choose between graphics ten times as nice as in my wildest dreams with gameplay flatter than pong, or, superb gameplay but graphics identical to 1981.

Related.. I'm amused about how people got riled with No Mans Sky advertising with different pictures than ingame, but when it's an indie studio it's somehow OK.

Game needs more pixels (but seems interesting).

Store page needs less GIFs *yuck*

https://items.gog.com/RSCtrsc-bartendingcopy.gif -> 5.6 mb
https://items.gog.com/RSCtrsc-pottery.gif -> 4.9 mb

Instead of having 13 mb of GIFs on a single page, it would be better to make a proper mp4 which can be viewed or skipped as desired..
No Man's Sky is getting updates for free that is introducing back some of the promised content, as well as content that wasn't even mentioned in the trailers. As far as comparisons between graphics and expectation vs reality, it's just a matter of degrees plus subjective taste. Bigger companies have pulled off far worse shenanigans than Hello Games for far less of the fire, and retro pixel graphics all depends on how it's pulled off. For example, I love the atmosphere of The Last Door.
