It's supposed to be an horror game, not some family friendly romantic comedy. And if anything I would say it looks more like she is about to be drowned rather than "chocked"

Bloober Team haven't made a single good game. Layers of Fear sucked. Observer sucked. Blair Witch sucked. They're all visually impressive and have cool premises, but the actual gameplay is simply not fun - painfully so. They're such slogs to play through. What's worse is that each of these is basically the same exact game with a different coat of paint. That formula wore off about half-way through Layers of Fear, but they've stuck with it ever since.

So when i started the video Zoidberg linked i thought "Hey all their games got inspired by other games whats the deal"
then i reached the 14 minute mark and lost it.
Yeah that is some sleazy slimey scummy behavior that will keep me away from them.
They really got a software patent on gameplay elements? A very specific one, i'll give them that, but that doesn't make
it any better.

Ancient-Red-Dragon: Thanks for the info. I've also seen some people say 8 hours on some other forums.

In which case, this game is a rip-off at its current very high price. It will be a good deal if/when it goes down to $9.99 USD though.
I myself find 30h for such a type of game awfully long.

Does anyone have any insight into the structure of the game. I know it will have no combat. The developers allude to it being similar to, obviously, Silent Hill/ Resident Evil, etc, but for more modern comparisons they also say it is similar to Songs of Horror.

If The Medium is anything like Song of Horror and it's other inspirations, in level design, it will be an interesting one. As it stands the art direction looks really good and so does the setting. But the videos dont show too much of how the level design will be from a structural stand point.

Thoughts?
