More ways to make money? Sold!

MegaCorp, a new expansion pack for Stellaris, is now available for pre-order DRM-free.

Focused on the magic of cutthroat profiteering applied on a galactic scale, this new DLC lets you establish Branch Offices to crush the competition, build megacities that span entire planets, raise formidable megastructures, and even dabble in the pops slave market for that much needed edge.

The MegaCorp expansion is scheduled to release on December 6th.

I think you meant: build Coruscant! ;)

No. Trantor. Coruscant was just a copy of that. ;-)

How about both then... this is grand strategy after all! And a third called Ravnica! ;)

OK. :-D
Isn't there a "Stellaris Workers Revolution DLC: Destroy Large Corporations"?
Nice movie. Tells little or nothing if you want to know what this expansion is all about.

Do love the game though.
Seeing this new galactic slave market, can you use it to trade non native (not your species) population as slaves?
That trailer reminds me about the intro video in Fragile Allegiance. Link to said video.

Haven't played it as yet and unlikely, mainly because of the clip.As you stated above is a valid reason.I can remember video's used to show game play but like a lot of things nowadays they change. This business of playing music and no info is really not helping to sell.
"Apocalypse" intro trailer still unbeaten.

Though nowadays you get dozens of let's players (often given pre-release copies) to fill that gap. I don't remember it being too common years ago.
In fact, let's players can often show gameplay better than devs/marketing dudes can.

... even if they're paid to promote the game, so their opinions aren't 100% honest. But still you can see plenty of gameplay no matter what they say while playing :P

Btw. I find it slightly silly that we get a second announcement for the DLC before it is released. Since when did DLCs become so important that they need frontpage mentions twice even before release. Sure the game is good, but plenty of great games only get one mention on the release day and that's it.

... and I'll repeat myself from the previous thread. I'll buy the DLC here when/if Stellaris is given the GoG Connect treatment. Otherwise I'll just wait. Now that I know the game is available on GoG I have no desire to buy DLCs on Steam, but I also don't feel like buying the game again. (got Stellaris from a humble bundle while it was Steam-only, but whatever)

Of course you haven't played it yet. This is an expansion and isn't out yet, so nobody except the devs can play it at this point.

This is also only a short story trailer, usually they get a movie with a short overview later on. But basically all information is already known, so I don't know why they ever bother. For a short overview, you can view the store page. For more expansive information, you can view this reddit thread for all information released thus far: https://www.reddit.com/r/Stellaris/comments/97yq2h/summary_of_dev_diaries_for_22_le_guin/

You can only read the dev diaries if you want to get the main points of both the free patch contents and the expansion. If you truly desperately don't want to read (I don't think paradox games are for you then, really...) you can view Aspecs videos instead, at the bottom of the pinned comment.

Let's Players are not always paid and their opinions are not always dishonest.

I have played/showed games on my channels of games that were given by publishers and developers and not once I was paid (I do have a small channel) or asked any favors or to say anything positive about the game(s). I know there are times when some publishers/developers will hire let's players for promotion of their games, but that doesn't mean it is something that always happens.
