A haze of neon carnage.

Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number, a conclusion to the psychotic saga, is now available to pre-order for Windows, Mac OS X and Linux, DRM-free on GOG.com with a 10% discount.

Limbs strewn everywhere, pulsating to the rhythmic thumping of a haunting (hauntingly good) mixtape. Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number is a conclusion to the maddeningly good saga that's conquered so many of our hearts, then left them bleeding out in the corner of a musty motel room. A quiet end, we should count ourselves lucky. Should have, because Hotline Miami is back with a thick, bloody vengeance. If there is one thing to love about the series (other than than the incredible soundtrack and gritty neon-laced setting), it's the precise, fast-paced gameplay which just got better and a bit more varied. There are new unique mask abilities like dual wielding or chainsaws (maybe dual-wielding chainsaws, if we're lucky), and seven new playable characters to make up this twisted part-prequel, part-sequel story of Jacket's aftermath.

If there was ever a good reason to pick up the bigger package, the Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number Digital Special Edition comes with the Remix EP and 6 unique tracks. An absolute treat, if you're into the Hotline musical stylings. Nothing's lost if you don't want to make the commitment just yet. You can always get the standard edition, and get the upgrade pack when it becomes available later on.

Once it's complete, all versions of the game will also come with a DRM-free Custom Level Editor to create your own maps and share them with friends. While you're waiting, make sure to grab the Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number Digital Comics for free!

Ring ring. It's Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number. Will you pick up? The pre-order is available now on GOG.com, with a 10% discount.

Why is Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number not available for pre-order in Australia?
Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number was refused classification by the Australian Classification Board - the classification and censorship body formed by the Australian Government - this means that we are legally unable to sell the game to our Australian customers. We hated to hear it as much as you do, but after thoughtful consideration we felt that by refusing to sell the game worldwide, we would effectively apply the Australian censorship to 190+ other countries in the world. That would be unfairly punishing not just to our customers, but also the developers who took a stand against censoring their game.
By preventing purchases from IP's located within the borders of Australia, we make sure that the smallest number of people are affected by the ban. It sucks, but we believe it's the least of all evils.

IAmSinistar: Apparently the game can be gifted to Aussies, so you may need to arrange a swap or something.
Yeah I'll have to see if I can trade for it.

As long as i CAN get it here one way or another. I can't blame GOG or the developer so I don't want to resort to piracy, it's all on my stupid, backwards ass country.

ReynardFox: WHAT THE FUCK!

Please tell me I can still switch region and buy it that way...

tfishell: Like EnforcerSunWoo posted above, "just pirate it." Seriously. It'd be nice to give GOG some dough but if you can't, well, too bad I guess.

Shame they couldn't apparently find a way around this. It'd be nice if GOG could show a little good-faith gesture to Aussies and give them a discount on other games.
I didn't say that. Don't put words into my mouth.
Dear GoG, the digital comics app is 64 bits only, is there any chance of releasing a 32 bit version? Looks like it's made with Construct2 so it should be just an extra click when building the app :)
Was going to buy it here but eh... US Steam store here I come... eventually

Nooo! Don't go there! You can still get the gog version. Wait a little bit!
wel i am guessingl just like in steam store case of region locked games you can get the game if a kind soul(preferably somebody from the land of freedom usa) gifts it i hope.

Feeling sad for the Australians gamers being the first region to be locked out on gog of all regions. They suffer on steam a lot and now here as well

Enebias: Edit: Despite what I said, I hope this will not set a precedent for free regioanl locking, like many companies like to do. Then I would be *really* pissed.
I'm afraid it will do just that.

If only GOG had the power of a company such as Philip Morris:

(The legal carnival starts at 8:04.)
Can someone at GOG confirm if we can gift this to Aussie users? I may be able to offer a trade if so.

Since it's also regional priced, the Aussies should look at trading with the Russians and save some money in the process.
Instabuy when it will be on sale for $2.99 . :p
Besides the (high) probability that steam will have a region lock too... Steam has Australian players, too! And steam gamers can appreciate GoG's superior quality in games! As i said before, right when guilty gears were removed from here, i made my thing and gave them out to everyone, steam people included, whom i might add again convinced them to NOT buy the games from steam, but get them free, in their gog version, from my hands...

If this game has a region lock, i will again disturb the waters to serve the oppressed ones. No need to do rush things!

Exactly like in the real age of piracy, when governments were absurd, slave driving and forbidding certain goods from circulating, pirates and smugglers were both beneficial and necessary for the vast majority of the community! As long as governments keep oppressing people and banning things, pirates are always going to thrive and help ALL in need, with REAL democracy and justice.

Expect us. Don't give up! Hoist the colors, we are many!

tinyE: "Saga"?
It's two games. :P
Saga? Lawsuit incoming.

On topic, what's so hot about this sequel? Still haven't played the first, but judging by the screenshots it seems very similar.

That's what's hot about it. :)

That and the additional features:
Relentless Hostilities: Adjust combat techniques as the narrative shifts between factions and brings unique variations to a familiar approach along with new weapons, movements, and melee attacks.

Enthralling Soundtrack: Over forty pounding tracks from dozens of artists punctuate the savage conflict and bring the larger scale of your actions into focus. New artists join returning favorites like M|O|O|N, Perturbator, Jasper Byrne, Scattle, and El Huervo for an incredible audio massacre.

Custom Level Editor: Design custom levels using characters, enemies, weapons and music tracks from the game and share your creations with others.
