Zoidberg: To GOG staff: the bug where facebook opens is back, I get it each time I get in a forum announcement page (at least).
avatar
faroot: Same here. It would be very annoying for Galaxy to bring my browser to the front on *any* page every time I look at an announcement thread, but this is extremely bad since I avoid Facebook as a matter of principle, so this is highly annoying at best, and worse, a reason to avoid Gog if it keeps happening.

Gog: please stop Galaxy opening Facebook for me, that's cruel and mean and also very bad.
I have no clue as to why it does that. Got the issue some time ago and it got corrected, maybe they reintroduced a bug i nthe forum software? :P
Is it possible to play this game via crossplay?

I would buy it here, if I´m able to play it with my Steam friends :)

Well it's not a multiplayer game in the first place, so "crossplay" doesn't enter into it, although it does offer local co-op (at least on steam):

The Gog store description didn't address this, so I checked the Steam page, and it says local co-op with split screen, so note that you can't play over the Internet even with the Steam version, you all have to be in the same room.

Whether the Gog version *also* supports that same co-op feature is not clear to me, but it seems likely -- local split screen support isn't much affected by which store you buy from, programming-wise, whereas online multiplayer is very much effected and takes real effort to integrate cross-platform and/or cross-Gog/Steam.

Just to correct this... The game WILL have online co-op, delivered in a patch at a later date. Devs just couldn't cram in all the planned/promised features for the launch and instead of another delay, they will add it post launch. Online co-op mention was removed from the shteam page only recently, as not to mislead new buyers. At least that's my take on the delay thingie, which the ks backers are fully aware of by now. Online co-op is promised at least on Shteam and I reckon that Gog version won't be any different (sp + local co-op at launch, online co-op at later date). But I don't want to speak for the devs about the gog version. Btw game is shaping up nicely and was worth all they wait since ks campaign.

Good to hear, thanks for all that.

I hadn't even noticed they did a Kickstarter; interesting.

No worries. I would wonder about the possible crossplay too, it's a good question. DirtyRolando is up to something, since it would be quite neat to have it enabled.

But yeah, KS campaign happened in early 2015 for Morta... time sure flies! Try the demo if you haven't already.
Devs: We have not canceled the Linux version friends. The aim is to have it when the game fully releases on Steam. If not day one then definitely in the release month. We love Linux and will make sure this game is playable on this fantastic OS!
It's worth to mention that also system requirements are very low.

Fortuk: Unless the game is being heavily misrepresented, it is singleplayer and story focused.
Thank you.

All above makes me to very interested in the game. Wishlisted.

Thanks, for your answers Faroot & Spectrum_Legacy :)
There appears to be a demo on Steam, can someone confirm that you cannot rebind keys?

Can confirm.

Finished the demo twice now and I quite enjoyed it (save resets after defeating the caves' boss). Feel free to ask any questions about it.

:(

Pity, that's a pass then.
I keep reading this as Children of Mana and getting my hopes up, even though I've never played that.
I haven't pre-ordered a game in years (Guild Wars 2 - back when I had spare $$ from time to time), but I played through and really loved the demo for this game.

The characters / skill and upgrade systems are creative but seem solid. The combat was generally solid, and I liked the archer in particular.

Very tempted to splurge for once, but I'll probably hold off until I can find out just a bit more though (release date, how many dungeons, etc.).

Keep in mind that it is a demo, and that it mentions it is a beta and that it does not represent the final quality of the game itself.

In short: there might be keys rebinding in the final game.

gixgox: I'm interested in the narratives.
But I'm not sure if I'm able to manage the game mechanics.

Out there in the steamy world of games exists a DEMO.
Why, oh GOG, why not here?
Very commendable that they made a demo. Not that common nowadays. It can do wonders for the success of a game. You can find out if it might be for you or not directly.

Not sure on who did not do their part this time. The developers or GOG? Probably the developers being too busy? There are demos for other games here.

It may seem counter-intuitive, but developers generally find that demos reduce sales, which is why they're not common. Even if people like the demo, they tend to get their fill of the game from that and just never get around to buying it. Obviously there are exceptions, but that's the general trend. Certain types of games are probably more suitable for having demos than others.
