I mean Doom...

and Morrowind....

Stuff I'd never had expected to see here DRM free. And so close after freaking SSI gold boxes.
now it's only a matter of time.. : )
Yeah. Hopefully they'll also release their more modern games soon. Perhaps... on the next fall season or on winter.

Now I am waiting to get doomed.

I bet you're Quaking in your boots and it fills you with Rage thinking about it. And we're all going to have to suffer from the Fallout from it.
Pretty amazing eh?

The other titles we can expect to probably see are Commander Keen 1-5 (6 seems to be lost in limbo), Wolfenstein 3D, Spear of Destiny, Heretic, Hexen, Hexen 2 (not sure about the expansion), Return to Castle Wolfenstein, Quake 2, Quake 3 and perhaps DOOM 3 and Quake 4? It's sad that Quake Wars was shut down and Wolf 2009 was pulled from every store (due to Activision I think) so if GOG ever reworked those that'd be amazing. I think Heretic 2 is also owned by Activision.

Oh, and maybe Oblivion.

There's some pretty good titles that can come from this deal. I do wonder now, in all reality, what kind of a licensing hell they need to go through to get those Terminator titles here. GOG already managed to do that for SSI D&D games, but the rights for Terminator franchise has been handed over different companies for a good while now, so who owns the game licenses?

I'm going to be cleaning up brain goo for months.

When I saw the topic, I had to go to the main page and see for myself because it wasn't registering that after all these years it was here. I'd assumed that when iD agreed to get bought that would be the end of any hope for the games showing up here.

In fact, I still can't quite believe that it's here and that I've bought it. I wasn't going to buy another copy, but the copies here came with somethings that I don't think I had already.
I bought Return to Castle Wolfenstein on Steam during a mega sale last year as I couldn't pass the deal up but that's the only id game I own through digital distribution. I planned to buy the rest either on a mega sale or if they have an "id complete pack" some time in the future like the Valve complete pack I bought.

Now that some id stuff is showing up here though, I think I'll just wait it out for the rest of the id games to show up here because... why not? I pretty much want to grab everything from DOOM through RAGE all inclusive, and likely the new DOOM game when it is released also.

Sure would be nice to have nicely discounted all inclusive mega-publisher or mega-developer super packs for $reasonable though as often show up on Steam et al. Scored Valve-Pack for $20 which came with a shit tonne of awesome games and id Has about the same number 'ish.
Well if you want to be specific, Doom has been DRM free for a very very long time. :D But yes, it is cool to have them here.
RTCW has a weird issue in that the levels where you fight supernatural/paranormal stuff are way better than those were you fight regular humans. Especially that stealth mission where you need to infiltrate the rocket base without being detected, just terrible.

I remember those human levels dragging on quite a bit. Not a lot of fun, just seems like a poor medal of honor at that point.
ya really happy about these kind of deal. Current Pricing point of Morrowind is a bit steep in my opinion but well there will be always sales or the "i need that game again right now" moments -.- . And as JKHSAwyer stated there are (hopefully) many more titles to come/return
My mind.. uh.. I.. maybe.. cannot believe (@_@)
Ok, ok, my mind has blown, i admit it. But not half as badly as it should. We still need Dark Corners of the earth, Oblivion, Skyrim, Fallout 3 GOTY, Fallout New Vegas, Fallout 4. And that is only for starters. Sorry, but i don't see stuff like that, my mind doesn't blow fully.
