It's a game that apparently encourages people to go out and see more of the world than they would ordinarily. (Pretty much the same as Ingress, right?) Yes, that includes some bad, but I'll hope it's easily offset by the huge amount of amazing sights the world has to offer, which you might also encounter because of this. There's so much amazing wildlife out there, so much unsuspected scenery to take your breath away...

Could've just as easily been hikers discovering this body, or kids out playing, or... and yes, the experience would've been equally shocking for all of them. But I doubt that long-term they'd stop hiking or playing - so if you enjoy the game, I'd also say keep on playing (after a suitable time of totally freaking out, of course; don't want to underestimate the effect something like this has on an individual).

I didn't even know what "Pokemon Go" is untill now, so the headline had me really confused. What a strange idea. The world really has left me behind. And I am way to young to be saying that.

'You want a shiny Mewtwo? It's right there, inside the crack house/ abandoned asylum etc. '

That basically has nothing to do with the game, so why uninstall it?
Even staying indoors, unless you live alone, you will probably someday encounter a body.
And did she find her Pokemon?

The story would be slightly better if she caught a ghost-type pokemon immediately afterward. "Ah, what a beautiful sunse—HOLY HELL A MEWTWO SCREW YOU NATURE I GOTTA CATCHEMAHLLL!!!111"

I'm sure their top secret genetic engineering labs are working on it full time.
