So it turns out that The Pickford Brothers (John and Ste Pickford) tried getting Plok on Nintendo's eShop for Wii U, but they never heard back from the Big N. They went so far as to the contract phase. More about it can be read here along with the NeoGAF thread where it started- http://www.zee-3.com/plok/index.php?comic=850
http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=120493321&postcount=107

Since that ended up not working well for them, I mentioned GOG as an alternative. JPickford showed some interest, but I think he'd need more than just my opinion to jump on that idea.

If you don't know what Plok is, I recommend listening to this-

Start posting on their site if you are interested in them re-releasing Plok on GOG!

Webcomic strip #81 is up (posted as of May 28, 2015)-

I know this game specifically because of the music. Tim Follin did a phenomenal job. I preferred the title theme that sounded a lot like Tequila by The Champs.

Plok was weird in the best way possible.
I loved how the adventure began because some jerk stole his flag, and he's that Cranked-level of pissed off.
Whenever he thinks he sees his flag in the distance, he does the stage, only to find out it was something else, like pants or some grandma's quilt. And Plok doesn't stop. He walks all over the world looking for this flag. I couldn't help but admire that comical level of determination.
I never had the pleasure of playing it myself, just watched someone else do it. I'll throw my two cents in, here's to hoping it comes on the GOG platform.
I've created a game request page for it-

http://www.gog.com/wishlist/games/plok

But the best way to get it on GOG is by contacting the developers directly! Post on their webcomic-

Akrillic is also a really good song-

Yep, that sounds like the normal deafness I've come to expect from Nintendo.

Can't even mint gold when given exact instructions how.
I shouldn't forget about posting the Game Grumps episode dedicated to Plok-

Never played the game, but at least posted a message in favor of the devs contacting GOG. :)

I'm not sure how bringing an SNES game to PC would work, though. An emulator was mentioned in the comments but are there any SNES ones in a legal situation similar to DOSBox? I'd assume not but I still don't know how all that works and probably never will. :P

Interesting, you might mention that to the Plok guys as an example of what they could do. :)
If you guys want a physical copy of the first volume of the webcomic, it is available on CreateSpace-

I posted this in the community page for Night Trap on facebook.
I have an inkling that The Pickfords submitted the game :)

Heeey awesome! Thanks for sharing.
Signed up for an account here just to support Plok for GoG. I have been waiting for a sequel or re-release for over 15 years, and with Virtual Console a bust, this is the game's best chance.

An old game developer (Hudson?) said that Nintendo is focusing away from Super Nintendo games on Virtual Console, and instead are going to focus on Game Boy Advance and DS games. That could explain what happened to Plok on VC.

Cool, hopefully GOG accepts it. It definitely makes me (and probably Barry) interested in other SNES-emulated possibilities. :)
Plok was pretty great as far as I remember, if it showed up here It would be an easy purchase.
