You guys had the update for Bard's Tale IV since Friday. Please put that update on GoG Galaxy today.
Makes me wonder what you're basing this information on.
Also the patch probably has to go through QA. Maybe there was a hiccup there.

InXile publicly tweeted that they sent the patch details to GOG at the same time as Steam. They also ping'd GOG's support, according to InXile, at least twice over the weekend to try to get the patch pushed through.

There was some back and forth in the BT sub forum, with some users saying it's InXile's fault, and some of us saying that GOG should have a patch team working at all times.
Since GOG now has a dev portal whereby devs can upload patches directly to Galaxy, the "We sent it to GOG already!" excuse doesn't fly. Yes, the offline installer will always have a delay and that could be said to be GOG's fault if it's taking a long time, but there's no excuse for devs not uploading to Galaxy straight away.
It's up.

Please exercise patience in the face of patches sent over the weekend periods.

I assumed the dev portal allowed devs to submit patches directly without intervention from GOG, is that not the case?

I'll take your word for it. At least you were civil discussing this, some people have just been total fanboys about it, not necessarily on here, but in other channels.

Thanks for the response.

Gotta go through Q A first. And we let our Q A roam free at weekends. Can't keep everyone in the GOGgeon.

There was something I'd read from a blue in the past that made me think that devs could have more direct access than this. Given that Galaxy lets users roll back from broken patches, it might be worth letting devs go straight to Galaxy (like Steam does) and save the QA for the offline installers. It would certainly cut down on a lot of the complaining about late patches.

Turns out I was wrong anyway! :P

And you are right, the system was working like this at spring'2018. The question is why is it broken now?

I knew I'd read something along those lines!

From what I understand, there's nothing broken. What elcook said back then is basically the same that Linko just said today: devs have a simple tool at their disposal to upload their patches to GOG, but they must still go through GOG's QA. So yeah, it looks like the "but we already sent the patch to GOG!" excuse is still valid.

Now, I'm totally with SirPrimalform here to let Galaxy users be the testers instead of GOG. :P

Did something change since Judas said something different before?
The developers publish them independent of us, we simply test them afterwards in case a regression is introduced :)

Right! After all, if the patch is broken they can roll back - that's one of the big features of Galaxy. :P
