Try to load several forum pages, or even just one large thread, and odds are loading will fail. It's been about 2 weeks now. No sign of improvement and no word from staff. Is anyone even doing anything about this?

I find the easiest method of ascertaining whether anything will be done on new problems, to be to evaluate what they have done over the last few years. So nope, no chance.
Maybe it's clogging already and new "archive" is needed.

Has it? I've had this problem for years, especially on the "Forum replies" page...

Depends what you mean. I saw slow loading of certain popular topics with thousands posts since months but only in recent days "gogbears" started occur while loading such topic.

No, this is new. The replies has never worked for me. Recently even losing the forum takes a lot longer and often shows GOGbear. I imagine servers have been moved over for CDPrOnline.

thats not an issue, they decreased their server capacity. gog is just cutting corners, as they try to prevent their bankruptcy.
My theory is that all this redirection of servers, hackers battle through the internet cables around Poland, Belarus, Ukraine and Russia are messing up with the servers.

There's a heavy load of ciberattacks and 'cyberdefenses' coming and going there right now. This is something that would affect many domains on that region I think. Anyone feel free to correct me if Im wrong.
While I agree that the GOG-bear appearances (btw: I only experience it, when I try to look at my forum replies) can be a little grating on the nerves: it really only takes pressing F5 once (twice at the outmost (as far as my experiences go)), to get to the page I want to get to.

Is that irritating? Yes.
Is it inconvenient? For sure.
But it isn't something that ruins my day.

Edit: slightly different wording.

Forum replies do not work at all for me, no matter how much you f5. Never have. It’s to do with the age of the post. If the search results take too long it times out, and there is no solution for really old posts. I have 9 unread, tried loads of solutions nothing works. The recent system issues are different from that which has always been there.

Honestly, call me a conspiracy theorist if you like, but I believe GOG secretly hates this forum and wants to get rid of it (or at least sideline it from public view, or intentionally neglect it to the point it becomes very painful to use). They dislike how opinionated this forum is, especially in regards to criticizing practices of GOG, and would rather it be replaced by a community of sycophantic yes-men like the GOG subreddit.

A while back, profiles and GOG Galaxy were repeatedly inaccessible. That was resolved, sometimes in under an hour. Also, a moderator stopped by to post there. So fixes are still possible.

It depends on the number of replies in the topic in question. If trying to reproduce the problem, Word association game is a good example. When I run into it, it takes between 3-6 reload attempts to get through. That's something to deal with multiple times per day, for each day I stop by the forum. It gets irritating very quickly.

I'd patiently wait longer, provided staff would let us know it's being addressed. I'm sure they've run into the problem themselves by now, plus the server logs are bound to be filled with errors about this.

I just gave it a try, clicked on your embedded link - and went right through.

However. My settings take me to the first page of a thread.

Trying to reach the final page from there, ended in the GOG-bear.

But...as I wrote before: pressing F5 two times solved the problem (for me).

*shrug*

Exactly all this Ice_Mage wrote.
Still happening here and it is totally annoying.
Even worse: On Thursday I was not able to reach the forum at all until I changed my IP address several times (but the store worked fine all the time...)

But who cares... right GOG staff?!
