Considering it's an Atlus/SEGA property plus the aforementioned Denuvo, chances are very low.

I would have been excited about it until the D-word was mentioned, hopefully in a couple of years it will be released DRM-free on Gog.
Eventually it seems like most games with Denuvo have them removed.
Having said that, it's JP publisher, so super low chance of DRM Free.

Honestly might just bite the bullet and get one of them.

Sadly it's far from the truth, games were it has been removed are still a minority, it really depends from publishers.

Capcom and Bethesda are usually rather good removing it even if it's not on all games. Square, until recently didn't remove it, they started doing it on some games but very sparingly, Bandai never removed it even on several years old games. Sega it's totally random, they removed it on Yakuza games but AFAIK never touch it on most other, even older, games. And most of the other "non-indy" devs don't touch it.
If this works well enough with Steam Proton it's a day 1 purchase for me. Shin Megami Tensei/Persona for PC is like a dream come true.
Sadly a gog release won't happen.

Still have my original P4 PS2 copy. :D

Unfortunately, the opposite is true, most games with Denuvo are stuck with Denuvo. Most were cracked, and there are some exceptions where it was removed, but unfortunately plenty are abandoned with Denuvo still active.

I seem to remember a lot of praise for Persona, but I don't know if it was for 4 or 5. Is PC getting the good game or not?

I guess it was coincidence that the games I had my eyes on eventually had their Denuvo removed.
Did not know most actually are just stuck with it.

In general it seems like people know and like Persona 3,4, and 5. PC is getting 3 and 4 Golden. Uh don't ask me what Golden means. And I guess there are 2 or 3 versions of P3.

SEGA is the publisher for Persona 4: Golden, and they have removed Denuvo from many of their games. Yakuza 0, Sonic Mania, The Shenmue 1 & 2 collection, and Two Point Hospital for example.

We might be lucky with Persona 4 as well.

Not sure where you're getting SEGA from. Atlus publish their games themselves in Nth America and Japan and often use NIS or Square Enix for distribution in Europe and elsewhere. Cannot find any mention of SEGA ever for an Atlus game.

Anyway, if true this is excellent news, Atlus are funny in that all their games never get multi platform releases- with the exception of Catherine. BTW the Golden version is considered the definitive version and was a PSP game only.
Atlus make the best turn based JRPG's in existence. So going multi platform would be awesome.

Also I find it odd they'd choose P4 Golden and not Persona 5.

For PC it's SEGA.

EA still hasn't removed Denuvo from Dragon Age: Inquisition on Origin-version.

Denuvo is still equipped on Steam-versions of Mad Max and Batman: AK.
Though, Mad Max on Origin and Batman: AK on Epic has no Denuvo.

Persona 4 Golden was released on Vita, good handheld but abandoned by Sony. Now more people have chance to try that game.

I would welcome some other oldies published by Atlus, namely Wizardry: Tale of the Forsaken Lands.
Maybe some rumours about Demon's Souls remaster and possible PC port come true?

Oh, I'd love to see Demon's Souls hit the PC!
