quite a few games have no one home with questions from ages back utterly ignored.

Saying that this is the only problem does make this look like a troll thread, so don't be surprised that the answers are along those lines.

But all right, want a serious one, though it should fall under "goes without saying"?
When many say it's not worth the trouble of making a GOG version, or maintaining it after it's been here a while, go figure how many of those who do put their games here consider it not worth it to spend time on the forums answering questions.

It seems to me at least like GOG is releasing fewer brand new indies and AAs because of their reputation for this. And instead opting to wait until games receive most of their patches (during the like the first few months or year).

But I think they'll be okay with occasional old-but-popular AAAs (Doom 2016 is selling like hotcakes because it has the "instabuy" sales price) and fixed-up re-releases like from Konami and Capcom.
