I keep meaning to start a topic about this and, at this time, I honestly don't know if I started it before.

Anyway, one thing I noticed about the library page here on gog.com is that after it was changed to the new format (some months ago already) with the inability to arrange the games however we want, and boxes that don't look like real boxes, and multiple pages, I found myself simply looking at it way, way less often. I also don't feel as much connected to it as before, it feels less satisfying to look at my games than in the original library.

I wonder if anyone else here also feels the same way?
They were always just pictures.

I stopped syncing my library to gogwiki for the 3 months after the change just so I can look at the way I used to arrange them, later I decided that I had to move on. :(

I didn't sort my games before the change so I miss it much less than some folks. However, since I have a large collection here and tend to download updates in huge groups (I dl everything when I buy, but slack on updates), the multiple pages really is annoying to me.

This I agree with.......
Only thing I don't like is the navigation to get the GOG Downloader links. Then if you have several pages of games, when you go back, it takes me back to page 1 every time instead of the page I was previously on. Every extra click I have to make here is one less click I can make in game. lol Once the GOG Downloader is removed, I don't know what I will do. I won't use the Galaxy though.

Other than that, I don't visit my library often unless I buy a new game or there is an update, so the appearance doesn't bother me so much, just the navigation. Sometimes I might be without my hard drive with my library and want to play something and have to download again but not very often.

Ditto, although I have a much smaller collection.
Boxes + old shelf looked nicer IMO. Manual sorting was a nice option to have, however I must admit I had stopped using it altogether after my game count got way past 100. Sorting by purchase date was/is more convenient.

And for the record, I'm liking the new tags feature. It actually works very well with my personal methods of game organization.

Also the Glass theme looks best with the new shelf design.

You may find this user script useful in this regard. Very handy :D
I like the search function, but that's the only positive I can come up with right now.
The game boxes were one of the reason I came back to gog.
Also I liked my game series in right order.
I can't buy whole series at once. So, I bought them and then sort them manually as series is meant to be.
But it's all gone.
What was more heart breaking that gog confirmed it's not coming back.
I am satisfied with current library but it would be better if they at least bring back boxes to library.
I want sorting, so I don't have a bunch of games that start with "The" under "T".

I feel the same also, I preferred the old 'games boxes on shelf' look along with the ability 2 manual sort them but unfortunately GOG had confirmed those features will be permanently removed so all we can do we hope they bring them back one fine day. Oh well, guess we all just hv 2 accept & move on...
It's (IMO) fugly and not very user friendly.
I'm not that concerned about it, but it's one of the many things GOG has done that turned it from something special to just another online game store in my eyes.
