Hi Hi.

I keep getting errors when trying to install the backup installer files. 3 out of 3 games so far. Installer downloads successfully but during the installation process itself it crashes and says something like "contact software manufacturer".

Any thoughts?

Please check the file integrity.
1. you can find their md5sum with the trick:
https://www.gog.com/forum/general/gogrepopy_python_script_for_regularly_backing_up_your_purchased_gog_collection_for_full_offline_e/post3025

2. Or you can check it within the installer

The CDN GOG are using right now is VERY unstable. Many people encountered problems to download their installers CORRECTLY.

Another great integrity checking option, but slow with large files, is InnoExtract.

See a discussion etc at the following.

Are you downloading them for the right OS? :)

A reasonable question and good answers got down voted.
The GOG forum is just a joke.

GOG is doing its best to destroy GOG´s community. The same community who gives GOG money. The incompetence of whoever rules GOG knows no limits.

Not surprising in a topic about the offline primary installers. The corporate types, fanboys, etc would seem to prefer the offline installers don't exist, so to talk about them is like putting up a batsignal for them to rush over and downvote.
