The new adult-oriented, pixel art JRPG from Kagura Games – Incubus Quest is now available on GOG with a -20% discount that lasts until January 24th!

A war between succubi and incubi has been raging for years in Lugrand, and Shadow was unluckily born as the weakest incubus there ever was. When the succubi launch a surprise attack and capture or wipe out nearly the entire incubus population, Shadow makes it out thanks to a mysterious power he awakened to. But since he's the weakest, it's decided that he needs to train against humans before taking on the succubi. He teleports to Ardia, a different world where he'll gather experience and maybe make an ally or two. The problem is, he's so weak as an incubus he risks defeat even at the hand of humans...

Check out Incubus Quest and start to explore Ardia and grow stronger before returning to Lugrand to mount a resistance and launch a counterattack against the succubi and their army!

Some day, the illustrators at Kagura will see what actual breasts -- particularly large ones -- look like and adjust the way they draw them.

I guess that is the whole point people are forgetting. These games have an artstyle that is appealing for some - does not need to have realistic to be appealing. I personally prefer it as well if people look more real in AVNs but that does not have to mean that's the case for everybody. The fact alone that Kagura is successful and continues to release games with a similar artstyle (though technically they are not the developer they just approve of the artstyle) shows that there is a target group for this artstyle somewhere.

Its highly subjective of course, but for me, its a matter of function.

Games can take all manners of liberty with their particular framework of reality of course, but I expect some degree of coherence within that framework of reality.

As far as I know, those games don't change the laws of gravity, sight and motion and with our existing laws of gravity, sight and motion, women with breasts this big are at a severe disadvantage.

So the part of my brain that correlates appeal to good functionality and fitness for survival rings an alarm bell at a sight of this, but if you can quiet that part of your brain, then enjoy I guess.

More and more classics are getting removed from the gog catalog and being replaced by low quality NSFW games .

uh huh. I'm sure THAT is the reason the classics are being removed.

Did not know Kagura was THIS powerful. /s

On topic: Wishlisted just to spite you lot. (also it's a neat game too)

"Replacing" would not be the term I'd use. I don't think it took a whole lot of coaxing to get Kagura to bring this game here. It is a very low effort release I think as far as GOG is concerned.

Meanwhile, I'm sure getting someone who wants to leave to stay is several orders of magnitude harder.

It's like saying: "If you hadn't made coffee this morning, you would have found the time and energy to tile every floor in the house".

Oh no, I feel so spited!

The darkness... it's closing in! Tell my goldfish... I died bravely... goodbye, spiteful world!

It's all pure 2D anyway. They have no volume and therefore also no mass. Only if the objects had an actual volume, gravity would have any effect.

And yes, I don't like that style either. But I don't have to buy that (in my eyes) garbage.
I am not a fan of humongous udders. The head should never be smaller than what we call "Vorbau" or "Holz vor der Hüttn" (wood in front of the hut).

True. If I see women that look like "bloated ball sack attached to the middle of the clavicles", I can quickly identify it as a Kagura-published art style.

Aside for thread, I have nothing against NSFW titles. I've enjoyed a few myself. I just love to take a dump on Kagura's shovelware bad art.
Why do people still confuse publisher and developer?
Kagura is only publishing this game from SweetRaspberry.
That said...I would avoid this game...reading some reviews about it...it is a) shota and b) very boring.

Well, they do seem to cater to a lot of developers that tend to make disturbingly similar games, at least as far as the visual are concerned.

It was cute at first when it was a novelty, but at this point, unless something about the content really catch my eye quickly and people are raving about how good it is, it's becoming a hard pass for me.

Magnitus: As far as I know, those games don't change the laws of gravity, sight and motion and with our existing laws of gravity, sight and motion,
This game includes things like grid-based movement/positioning (physically impossible to move a half-step, or place anything on a half-step, or for two distinct things to take the same rather large area).
And the movement speed along the two surface axes between grid points doesn't vary if there is also a vertical element (e.g. you move along the Y axis at the same speed whether you're walking on a flat surface, climbing steps, or climbing a rope).
You can also see architecture and people who are behind walls (even multiple walls, or walls and people and other scenery elements), and see the same distance regardless of lighting conditions.

If this doesn't involve some massive massive massive changes of the laws of gravity, motion, sight (laws of sight??), and pretty much most of physics altogether, I don't know what would...

There are games which try to be, as much as they can, physics simulators. This pretty much never includes VNs, or RPGs, or time-management, or dating simulators. The same can be applied far and wide, though, including FPS games, all turn-based games, etc...
Say what you will about the girls and their huge cowlike knockers [derogatory], but at least try to keep an internally consistent artstyle?

And what the hell are those ears?

Well, when I can't tell one Kagura published game from the other, but I can tell one TOSE ghost developed NES game from another, that might be a slight against the standards that Kagura is showing.

Asking for a friend - what does realistic succubus breasts look like?
