I remember renting Gun on PS3 once... I completed the game in a single weekend. So I paid about $2.50AUD to play the game. Was short but very fun :)

Azrael360: The first game is good, the second (Bound in Blood) is great, the third (The Cartel) is awful, but the fourth (Gunslinger) is awesome ;)
Yeah, I really hope that series can make it to GOG!
Gun is a fun game. Not the best pc controls but works good enough. It is or was on Steam if anyone wants it.
Gog should add Gun here. I beat that game 2 times, second time on 100% completion and i got horse in armor (that was hilarious).

tfishell: I thought he might curse us by mentioning we haven't received an Activision release in over 2 years. (It's similar to mentioning Gaben's weight and HL3 being delayed an extra month.)

EDIT: It's also possible it's not here because it's $20 on Steam.
Do you know what other Activision-published game costs $20 on Steam? Vampire the Masquerade - Bloodlines.
Gun was bad. I played it on Xbox 360. Not an exciting story, basic gameplay (except the possibility to scalp your foes) and at some point I was blocked because I couldn't beat a boss because my stats were too weak : I didn't complete some secondary quests to improve them, so I was obliged to restart it.

So, I never finished it !

You must of rushed your way through that game if your stats were too weak...
I loved that game. Its probably one of my favorite western games next to Red Dead Redemption. Only Gun is a lot shorter.

apehater: wasn't gun very buggy?

NoNewTaleToTell: I played it to the ending credits a couple of times on the Xbox, I don't recall any glitches off the top of my head.
i was talking about the pc version, there are probably differences

To be fair, my pc version didn't have any problems either. Though I'd consider catching that white buffalo a glitch just because he's a dick lol.

Exactly ! It was almost a speedrun, thing that I usually hate, but it was at a friend so I wanted to discover the maximum of the game. I prefer to take my time when I play alone.
Never played it but I got an instant boner when I identified the protagonist's voice actor in the trailer as Tom Jane. That dude's voice is just pure awesome. Also his voice work on the Punisher video game was amazing.

Gun seems to me like a game that was ok when it was released because similar titles weren't available on the market but also seems like a game that wouldn't be much fun playing nowadays for the first time.

The gameplay was well done and could still hold up, as could the story. It's just a short story and a fairly empty world for an open world game. I beat it for the price of a weekend rental when it came out and I consider that money well spent.

Yeah, Gun really went under the radar. But I think if GOG gave it another chance it would sell well.
