It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

HypersomniacLive: See above. Your comment makes it sound like it can be used to sort/ order one's game collection, but I don't think it's actually possible.
I even asked Chamb about it, but he did not answer.
Yeah, that'll teach me. I should have tested it out first, instead of talking out my ass. I checked it out, and you can tag the games however you want, then you can use the filter option to display only games tagged with a specific tag. But no real manual sort.
I checked, Fallout is still there. Everything else is secondary.

That's quite alright. I had some hope when they announced tags and whatnot, but sadly sorting is sacrificed in favour of "filtering" and "searching" which is supposed to offer the personalised experience now that we all just have a subset of the game catalogue.

UhuruNUru: The sites not Optional I need to use the site to buy games, when the site is the same as galaxy client though technically "The Client" is optional, in reality whats the difference.

It's just like Steams client/website they are essentially identical though technically you must use the Steam client to obtain the game.

Here I must use the site or client to get the game, thats the only difference.
They have the same functionality and appearance, I must use one or the other to get my GOG games/update.
So it's a semantic choice between identical twins and not really a choice at all.
I don't understand your argument at all. You always had to use the site to buy your games and get patches/updates. You can choose to use Galaxy for this or not. I installed Galaxy, but I find I really don't see the point. So I'm choosing not to use it. I like the site better. But I like forums and not all this social crap like chats, friends, etc. I read a post somewhere that said they plan on returning the PM function to the forums. If that's the case, then you'll be able to disconnect from that social networking crap completely.

Small correction. They're not going to restore the PM function, they're only going to import our PM history into the new Chat system.
I personally miss my wooden shelves, but I can always display the library as a list instead of a grid...

Viola, no more eye-raping grid display!

It's still too painfully bright. I prefer dark(er) backgrounds as they put less strain on the eyes.

YaTEdiGo: I LOVED the library, so yes, I GO POSTAL RIGHT NOW, starting with not buying SR2 and 3
Too bad, as those are excellent games to go postal in. ;)

I vaguely remember that they are planning to introduce more themes soon.

Amen to that, I wish every site/browser had that option..This stinkin' mandatory brightly-lit default atmosphere makes everything look unfinished as well...I'm using Opera, and even the most customizable skinned browser has been neutered into a loudly dull off white in an update!

Good on them, can't wait!

Well, I'm just reading in the SR forums about SR2's performance, so I have to correct myself: SR3 is an excellent game to go postal in, SR2 is an excellent game to go postal about. ;)

I pray on my knees to all the gods, new and old, that they're not going to be made by the same person(s) that made the artistic decisions for the site.

my 2 cents...i hate it as well.

after the unbundling i spent well over 2-3 hours manually sorting out my library...

i installed galaxy then discarded it after 10mins playing with it as for the life of me i couldn't see or find out in the help files how it does the one thing i thought it was also designed for...to backup games to your hard-drive...

all it seems to do is install it, which i did not want.

so yes i have gone back to gog.com downloader and found my library ruined today ...just sucks.

oh and worse of all you now have to switch pages unlike before where you just keep scrolling down? who designs these?

kids?
