So the promo picture looks like from the "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas" film but from which game is it from really?

The first two Dracula games are fun. The second one is a mix of puzzles and HO though, so beware if you don't like HOs. The first one is a pure puzzle/adventure game though with inventory management and actual 3D FMVs. Don't play the last three games though, they were made by a different publisher and imho, the story sucks.

No, I'm not a big fan of hoes (hidden object) ... lol. But I can't say that I outright dislike them.

Anyway, do you know from which game the promo banner is from?

I'm assuming it's a play on "bat country"?

Edit: Which is a reference from the opening scene in Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, for those wondering. Quote: "We can't stop here. This is bat country!" So, if bats are associated with vampires....

Before that it quotes Dr. Johnson: "He who makes a beast of himself gets rid of the pain of being a man".

Since vampire is a beast and not a man ...

But that's still weird since there are only 2 Dracula and whooping 8 Sherlock Holmes games there. Why not reference Holmes?

I was looking for that thread but couldn't find it. I'm getting too old for this.

It could be a difference of opinion or it could be that you're getting the two series of games mixed up (it is confusing).

The Frogware games:
- Dracula Origin (2008)
- Dracula: Love Kills (2011) - as you say it's more of a HOG than a genuine adventure game

The Microids games:
- Dracula: The Resurrection (1999)
- Dracula: The Last Sanctuary (2000)
- Dracula 3: The Path of the Dragon (2008)
These 3 are sold as the 'Dracula Trilogy' on GOG. The first two look good but the game play is fairly average, whereas the third is regarded by many as being the best of the Dracula games.
- Dracula 4&5 (2013) - made by a different studio and generally poorly regarded.

Word of warning on the Microids games:
The GOG versions are the 'proper' versions of these games but the versions on steam are based on the bastardized ipad versions with reduced game play.

I didn't mistake the first two, I was talking about the Frogware games. However I did mix up Dracula 4+5, which I thought were a part of the Frogware Dracula series, which explains why I couldn't find the "third" Frogware game and was wondering which one it was (and assumed it was the first part of the female protagonist storyline from Dracula 4+5 and that it's not being sold on GOG). However my review for all four games stands.

As for the original Microid trilogy, I've played the first game a bit and it was quite fun, but I felt it was easy to get lost while navigating in the first chapter and get stuck because I missed out on an area (and only after checking the guide I found out I missed some of the areas and that's why I got stuck). But since it's not on sale, I didn't include the review for it in my post.

I don't know. I'm allergic to vampires since twilight & because I eat a lot of garlic they must be allergic to me too.
