I will most certainly wait until there are some video reviews/gameplay videos because right now there's too little information for me. The lackluster screenshots don't help either.

tfishell: Reviews are very positive.
That doesn't help when the vast majority of them say nothing informative about what the expansion brings with it.
was titan quest like diablo3 a little?

It is more like Diablo 2, I would say. The gameplay progression is more linear since you will follow a story through different acts (like the initial story mode of Diablo 3 before they added the adventure mode). But apart from that, yes, it is a diablo-style Action RPG with exploring maps, killing monsters, completing quests, leveling your character, choosing and upgrading skills, and hunting for items. Be aware though, that there is no endgame like in Diablo 3; once you beat the final boss on the highest difficulty (not saying that it's easily done), there is not much else to do with that character (though you can certainly grind for max level and try to complete that legendary set you already found 2 pieces for). Titan Quest is all about the journey, imo :-)

Voted, but it was not needed, honestly... THQ-Nordic are a gamer's bro, real chummy pals! Can't forget all their wonderful discounts and magnificent gifts, so far (hello, Darksiders and special, steam-level-discount-prices)!

I have no doubt they will bring it here, too. Can't wait! Although, i fear i must (my current rig gets on its knees with Anniversary Edition and other games like Grim Dawn)...

Oh yes, they are so amazing and I had so much fun waiting for the Darksiders 2 Deathinitive Edition patch for MONTHS and being ignored when asking for it. Really great guys....

No, seriously. They are good but they are not the best available. It's not the first time they kept us waiting for fixes for their game (while steam was fixed immediately) and they still haven't answered the question if we can ever expect to get the original Darksoiders 2 be added back as bonus since the Deathinitive Edition is ... well not so deathinitive after all. A question I asked them several times.

Just watch when THQNordic is announcing a new game. They will write ONE post and then they are gone. That's not support at all. I have talked with many publishers and many devs but I cannot even remember that I ever had a dialogue with them. I contacted them and I got ignored - end of line. So yes, while I also do appreciate that they bring many good and classic games to GOG their communication could be much better sometimes and they are far from being perfect.

Who cares about screenshots? It's the same as Titan Quest with new monsters, new quests, new gear and new UI polish. I would say the description on steam explains it pretty well.

First Microsoft with Age of Empires II and Age of Mythology, and now THQ Nordic with Titan Quest. Its a brand new scary future. Maybe we'll get lucky, and some will be good expansions, but I dread the cash grab that this opens up. Just imagine the torrent of shitty expansions besmirching our favorite old games.
So they made this from scratch or was it some unfinished expansion from THQ times?
This expansion is the best news I didn't hear about. I wish they would have publicized it a bit more...

As far as classics getting shitty expansions, we don't have to buy every expansion that comes out ;)
Will buy it as soon as it is released here as TQ is a great game and more of it is great news.
Tragedy! Once I finished Titan quest I deleted my savegames with an insanely powerful dual sword wielding warrior whirlwhind of death! :(
Trailer said its coming soooo <3
Great news but I will have to wait a bit longer before playing it again. When the Anniversary Edition came here it was getting updates so often I decided to wait. Apparently I will have to wait even longer ;)

Not sure I see the problem. I think in most cases fans will be happy to see new ( official ) updates to their favorite games. And in cases where the new content turns out to be a mediocre cash-grab move, we always have the option to ignore those and just keep playing the games in their original versions. No loss there.

I wonder how that will work out... Will we be able to roll a new character specifically for the new expansion, or will we really have to play through the whole game again?

I think Titan Quest used to have unofficial trainers/cheat programs, maybe those could help? If they're even compatible with the new content.
Titan Quest is a classic, so new expansion is more than welcome. :D
