This trailer is certainly MUCH better than the 1st one they released. Although it does look good, I admit, I am hesitant. The last three Star Wars movies were like a wet match. It tried, maybe a spark here and there; but, it never caught fire. Ultimately, it was disappointing. Also, why not release in May like the others? I assume is that Christmas time is a bigger movie attendance window, and by announcing now, it generates interest, and also, in a way, warns other movie studios to not even try to release a movie in that time frame, as they would surely not compete.

As for me, I actually may wait. Disney has had some blockbusters (Pirates of the Caribbean) and epic flops (Lone Ranger, John Carter). The flops were very unfortunate. John Carter was not marketed correctly, so fans, who did not read the books had no idea how he was. The Lone Ranger was a complete mess, as it seemed to me that they tried to go in a different direction, and ignored the serials, tv shows, and prior movies with Moore and Silverheels.

I think I may wait this one and see how others react first, then decide if it is worth seeing. Crazy I understand; but, given movie prices are getting expensive now, combined with all the extras (concessions), I do not wish to be disappointed.

Nice trailer. Havent read up on all the news but just watching this trailer... Luke's voice - " The force is strong in my family. My father has it. I have it. My sister has it. You have that power to".Any guesses who he is referring to?.

Also the chick and the dark dude (sorry dunno about the politically correct way to say it lol) seems to be prominent in the trailers ive seen to far?.

Seeing the original Han Solo and even the original Chewbacca again (it's actually the same guy in the costume) was great. :)

I'm going to watch this, it can't be any worse than Episode 1-3 anyway and is probably far superior.
I wish they'd have chosen another actor for the obligatory black dude's role though, I don't think he (John Boyega) is particularly good but we'll see.

it looks very very good, i really hope that JJ abrams get star wars right because star trek not so much. i liked the first but the second one not so much.

it seems that is on the right track, george lucas should do a cameo like stan lee, just saying

as a mercenary who gets gunned down by one of the characters which then gets retconned as to him shooting second an din 2027 we get lucas shoots first campaigns ? ;p

I think it's at least partially because of the Hobbit on one hand, and the variousMarvel movies on the other. People go used to having this blockbuster from a popular franchise on Christmas over the last three years, so there is a vacancy of sorts Star Wars can fill with a new movie coming every year. And May has the Avengers this year, and other Marvel movies in the future years, so Disney isn't going to have it's two biggest franchises release competing agains one another.

Most likely it's Han and Leia's child, maybe the young woman we see in the trailers.
