Due to Fortnite I'm guessing you like competitive FPS? Outside of all the current free to play hits I'd suggest the Battlefield series, which has a long history on PC and is generally considered much better on the PC platform. If you wanna go old school then Quake 3 is still a great game and a very PC focused one, and has an updated version called Quake Champions I think.

If you like singleplayer FPS games too and want the PC focused classics I'd suggest FEAR, Far Cry 2 or 3, the Crysis series and all the Doom games. Immersive sims are generally much better on PC too, if you're into that. Games like Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Prey and Dishonored.

Hail friend. In these days, a good PC without a good gamepad is pretty much worthless. Now I know many are content to just use a 360 controller but that simply doesn't cover the vast array of potential situations.

So I like to recommend a fine controller with multiple modes.

Get a joystick and get Star Wars X-Wing series (especially Tie Fighter), Wing Commander series (especially Privateer), Freespace series and I-War series and for I forget the Aquanox series (especially Archimedean Dynasty).

This will last you at least a few plague outbreaks and you will never want to play Fortnite again.
