Weird... tbat almost never happens! ; ) (says a thread hijacker himself)

Any thoughts on the audio question? And I'm curious to know if it's a performance issue or if you have a badass speaker or headphone setup.

SHIT I'm sorry.

I have done that in the past but usually only when I intend to, for people who I think are trolling or spamming with the topic to begin with (infowars). That is obviously not the case here so I really am sorry about that.
Sorry for starting to talk audio. I guess most people have no performance issues with onboard audio chips so better to try that first. I guess most games do not have lots and lots of different sounds going on simultaneously. My thought was more to steer clear of motherboards with the low grade audio chips but if you are going to add a sound card, that should not matter.

That perfectly fine. It kinda made sense in how one thing led to another ;)

In terms of the audio thing: I have had great gaming pc for over 20 years and I have never had a audio card in there. So clearly I have never needed one. So i was actually just wondering why people have them and if it would actually benefit me in any way. For some reason this will be the most expensive one I had ever bought (and I am not really going much more powerfull than usual) so if I can spare a few dollars here and there I will :)
