jefequeso: Thanks

I'm playing through Vivisector again right now, and might do a review of that as well. At some point, at least.

gameon: Cool, i've not seen vivisector before, but from looking at the trailer for it, it looks like a cross between painkiller, and cabela's hunting games, lol.
Kinda. It's a fairly fun game. Just very rough around the edges. It has all the weird charm and fun of similarly low-budget titles. Plus, excessive gore FTW.

The kind of charm with Pathologic and games like that i'd guess. (in terms of atmosphere/charm the game rocks) But the game engine and gameplay elements were clunky. If only Pathologic had a bigger budget!

I really need to try that one out. It sounds very interesting. I'm a big fan of those sort of "survivalist" games.

Unfortunately it's painfully slow and jerky/clunky. Very difficult to know what's going on due to poor translation/extremely vague directions.

But the atmosphere is fantastic. It had potential.

It's on GG, yes? I might have to pick it up soon.

Well I guess I'm kinda on a roll as of late. 3rd blog in as many days.

It's a little title that a lot of people haven't ever heard of. Vivisector: Beast Within. Made by the same people who did Cryostasis. Completely different sort of game, though.

Whenever I read an article deconstructing a medium I like to play the "Scott McCloud Said It First Game". Obviously not implying this guy stole his ideas from McCloud, more that Understanding Comics (and Making to a lesser extent) has a reach waaaay beyond just comics. Anyway, thanks for the link.

Yeah, you've all downloaded it and played it for yourselves already. But I thought I'd write a review anyway.
I am gonna be checking out the blog often now, Good blog mate.
