trentonlf: I was one of the people that bought Spore when it first came out ...

apehater: did you play it? as far as i got it, this game gets pointless without the online part. the offline part is just training for the online game against other players. so therefore its kinda scammy that gog promotes it as drm-free. cause if you want to play the online part than you still need to register on ea and create an account. did i get it wrong?
I played it and enjoyed it, but I never did the online part as I prefer to just do the single player stuff. Had no desire to compete against others.
I remember there being so much talk about this game when it newly came out, but I never got a chance to get it, so I appreciate you giving me that now (DRM-free as well!). I'm in..

As for games I'd like to see DRM-free, Diablo 3, maybe? Or any and all of the later ubisoft titles (Assassin's Creed 2, Far Cry 3, etc.).

bad_fur_day1: At least Spore was before "You must download 40gb of updates before you can even play it" time. I remember it having a limited amount of installs or something, that's still better than steam.
It had a limit of 3 installs and you had to be online to start the game, was a big mess.

I think that's just EAs regular DRM PR. I've never understood what's the point of their multi-player function in games that I want to play alone, but they keep giving their games some shallow pseudo-multi-player features. I think that's just an excuse why players should pay for their DRMed product.
Which player ever said that an EA game was good because of something like this?

Afaik there is no online part that you can "play". The online component is that other people's Alien species (and so on) can be encountered in your universe. Someone posted in the release thread that you can import creations manually, I think.
I'm not sure if the infamous Spore is worth to play, but I'm curious, so I'll let fate decide.

EDIT: not in anymore, because I'm trying other giveaways

trentonlf: Any other games you would love to see DRM free?
Oh, there are many games I would love to see on GOG, either because of DRM or (in some cases) limited availability - AoE II, Assassin's Creeds, Bioshocks, C&Cs, Croc 1&2, DE:HR, Fallouts, Mafia 1&2, Portal 1&2, The Elder Scrolls IV/V...
I'm also in.
About drm free games a few i want here like sims 1 and 2 complete collection, mafia 1 and 2,oblivion, age of pirates 2, need for speed underground 1 and 2.

i see, thanks
IN. Have it wishlisted and won't have spare cash until Christmas. Was quite surprised to see this become DRM-free actually.

As for what game(s) I would like to see released as DRM-free, well there's too many to pick from. If all of them is not an option I'd pick Civilization series I suppose.

Don't make me have to go and buy it for you, now. We've been through this twice already.
Oh, Spore, the game used by many users to create tons of genital-shaped creatures...

I'm definitely in.

Thanks for the giveaway!
