We've got 6 days to go and I've already unlocked all 3 games.

I'm planning to buy more over the next days and would love to have that warm feeling of unlocking a free game.

Or at least let the green bar keep going into the counter as I spend. Maybe If I spend enough I can knock that smarmy Squirrel off his stump. Its rude to play with your nuts in public.

It would be good if they could have an unlock able I don't own!

Yes, that and they could be special games that are not part of the sale. Getting Banished for spending $30 isn't very exciting when it's 75% off for the full duration of the sale.

Since you have a choice between two currencies (GBP and USD), you can unlock the same set of games twice; once on GBP and once more on USD.

I'm happy with getting riddick as it replaces the Steam version.
But I agree with Banished.

Xenonauts last time was great, i've played it loads.

But this time I hit the "goal" early.

I hope they've got some more surprise releases lined up, because my 2nd eldest has just found she loves point and clicks .
You can always pretend that Teen Agent is the game at the $60 threshold.

Arrg, if I had known this earlier, I would have received them a third time.
Two new games for $50 and $100 benchmarks, because that way there will be more incentive to spend more money. Also unless people with more complete GOG collections are buying gifts, they probably won't reach that level, and if the games are new and/or expensive, the chance is better that we don't own it. Again incentivising you to spend more money.
So...spend $150 and get The Witcher 3 and the first expansion for free?

I never really cared about the whole benchmark thing when it came to sales.

Can everyone do that? And how?
Enlighten me, o mad cat of terror!
You have to wonder how many people would complain about being forced to spend loads to get stuff if they put $50, $75 and $100 targets up.
I imagine they stick to targets that are achievable for most people. While there are definitely people who will spend $100 in a sale, there are others who would never dream of that and might feel annoyed if the goals were out of their reach...

THis does make sense. I think last time around £30 was as much as I could afford.

Alternatively, you could create a second GOG account, and purchase gift codes to give to your Epitaph account.

This isn't explicitly against the terms of service.* And I don't imagine GOG would complain, if this encourages you to spend [the equivalent of] thirty additional dollars.

Perhaps someone else knows better than I do.

edit:
Though it may fall under the catchall term "exploit". Really, though, the second account would be entirely legitimate, and follow the rules of the sale.

Well, you and I can definitely do that, since we can change our currency from EUR to USD and backwards. Once you reach Banished in EUR, change your currency to USD and you should be able to reach Banished (and the other games) a second time.
Need more games from the wishlist on sale. I mostly bought other stuff and almost nothing off the wishlist.
