EDIT: GIVEAWAY OVER, AND WINNER CHOSEN!

Hey all!
I realised a while back that I compulsively sponge off the generosity of this wonderful community, and I felt I should give something back. Unfortunately, I was out of a job most of last year, and then decided to join university to do my masters, which put in a further dent in my finances, and I kept thinking "Yeah, when I have a windfall, I'll do a huge giveaway!", but the windfall never came.
Finally, I figured if I can't do it big, I should at least do something small that'd be worthy. Then I was trying to come up with some random occasion to celebrate, so I decided to celebrate my Prime Power day!

So back in my "Birthdays are meaningless!" and "Calendar systems are so arbitrary!" phase, I was trying to come up with some more meaningful delineations of my life than approximate revolutions around the sun, and 10s, 100s, 1000s seemed just as arbitrary (decimal number system? What's so special about YOU?!), so I came up with Prime Power days! A Prime Power is what it sounds like, i.e. a number that can be obtained by raising a prime number to a certain power. So for example 6859=19 cubed (19 to the power of 3, or 19^3 or 19x19x19), and so, on your 6859th day of life (not my age :P), when you'd be about 18 years 9 months old, it'd be one of your Prime Power days!
Unless I feel like hugely increasing my celebration days, I usually leave out the powers of 1 (e.g. 6857, 6863 and 6869 are all prime numbers near the 6859 value that is 19 cubed, but I ignore them).

So right...a giveaway to celebrate! Instead of unloading extra bundle keys few people would want, I figured I'd put the choice in YOUR hands, one gog game of $5.99 or less (I'm in the Pakistan region, no idea what that does to my prices).

The rules are simple, similar to the Bonza Bonanza rules. i.e. must've registered before December 2014, not be a scammer, don't have a punctuationed nickname, have positive rep, have activity on the forums other than giveaways, and enter/redeem only for yourself. And of course, if you want to be in, say "I'm in".

Aside from that, to make it more interesting, tell me your closest upcoming Prime Power Day, or your thoughts on a better system.

OR if you don't want to reveal your age, or all that prime power stuff went over your head, then alternatively, recommend me some music based on my recent tastes- mostly oscillating between electronicky stuff- downtempo stuff, folk (english/celtic/etc, not country) music. Some randomly selected examples:
[url=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JVFo7ZBU89U]2 [url=http://music.gravitasrecordings.com/track/come-out-and-play-2]4 [url=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=382xWyRlBXE]6 [url=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yzqCvJmtwO4]8

I'll leave this open till next monday, I think, at which point my first semester's exams should be over, and I'll decide using random.org or some such who is the winner, with perhaps a little preference given to answers I like, or preference taken away if I find out you are a filthy 90er (joking, joking, sheesh! :D).

You still have the problem of relying on equally arbitrary units, i.e. days. To get really fundamental you'd have to work in Planck units. You could try with pulsar periods, or cesium ones, or a fancy variant of chronons, or any other number of things, but in the end, it's hard to avoid the arbitrary stuff without ditching units altogether. Ergo, Planck time! Scaling by primes seems good; you could go with powers of e (or pi, or another "special" number), but then you'd have to consider fractions of Planck units, which may or may not be to your liking. Naturally, you'll want to deal in your rest frame, the other ones being equally arbitrary. Then there's the question of picking a starting point: birth is rather arbitrary, given it delineates neither physical nor mental development. The onset of conscious thought is probably the most meaningful choice (good luck determining it, though), although you could go with the rather more banal point of conception.

In the end, you'll get an absurdly large number that's just as arbitrary as any other. Sorry, I can be a dick like that. Consider it my disqualification. Good luck with exams, though ;)
My next power of 2 will be 16384, or 2^13, I am not sure if that is better than just prime powers, but it does have the advantage of giving you fewer reminders of your age as you get older.

So if I said November 20th 2014 was a prime power day for me using 5^6 how old would that make me :)
Well Happy Prime Power Day?

Okay, fine, I'll be in - with music. If you haven't heard her yet, you might enjoy Loreena McKennit Clannad is great too
I'm in.

I am 18643 days old, my next power day will be when I am 19683 days (3^9) old.

I never had a birthday are meaningless or calendar are arbitrary phase and I quite like the decimal system. I guess a system to stop oneself feeling old would be to first count in day, 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 then decadays, then hectadays, then kilodays, but not mention the unit. In that system I'm 19.

Happy belated birthday!! (December 14?)

Thanks, December 27.
Thank you for your wishes and ideas, everyone! I forgot a simple and obvious rule (that I'll add to the initial post now) that would really make things convenient for me, if you want to be in for the giveaway, please do say "I'm in".

I don't really mind a day as a time unit, as long as you don't go into specifics as to its length (24 hours, 23 hours 56 minutes 4 seconds, leap second issues, etc.). I didn't think of Planck time, though. That's a cool idea! And yeah, I guess you're right, birth is a pretty arbitrary point to start counting at. Will need to investigate!

Powers of 2 (with no other factor) count as a prime power, but using all the prime powers add a few more celebration years inbetween :D. If it is close, I'd definitely say celebrations are in order, because the next one will be in your 80s! (although 2^13 is 8192, around 22 years of age, not 16384, which would be 44 years).

An old person, but at least that means you're not a 90er :P. Happy belated prime power day, and happy in-advance birthday!

SalarShushan:
McKennit is great, I've heard her more famous songs, she adds a cool spooky overtone to lots of old folk songs and poems. And I've heard the more famous Clannad songs (Robin of Sherwood's theme, of course :D) as well as Enya's solo music, I'll definitely look more deeply into them, thanks!

I'm not sure I exactly understand your system. A sort of logarithmic thing? Also, belated happy birthday! as I keep saying, all the important people were born in December :D.

Thanks babark, I'm in

If we take into account n=1, then my next power prime day will be in exactly one week:
11149 (prime number)

if we only consider n>1, then my next power prime day will be similarly looking:
11449 (107^2)
That's in 307 days.
Not in.

I don't really have anything to add to the measuring of time, although I did go through a phase of questioning the existence of time and whether it was a real thing or just a completely arbitrary concept created by humanity. I think in the end I decided time must exist in some form (how else do you stop everything happening at once?)

But if your looking for folk music you can't get much better than Bellowhead, they have some really great tunes.

And this is me singing a classic Irish Folk song: The Fields of Athenry

And these guys do great celtic rock / folk rock.
You lost me at "Prime" (:P), but that's very interesting mixture of music in your examples. :)
Did you know there is a Serbian band that makes such good Irish music that (some) Irish people prefer it to their own bands? Well, probably not, but that's why I'm here to educate you. :D
Here's something extra special to lift you spirits before the exams. Break a leg.

As for the giveaway, I'd like to be in if I may.
Thanks for sharing!

Thank you and it's a metric thing.

I'm in. Following your rules (ignoring powers of 1), my last prime power day was 7 days ago and my next will be in 4 years and 3 months or so, both powers of 2.
