see above edit - check that first. you'll also be able to check your drivers from the device manager.

personally I wouldnt touch anything by razer brand as ive found many threads (from searching on recent control pad issues ive had) showing the drivers always seem to conflict with something else. but thats me being put off by what ive read recently.

If its power management than why does the green lights on the mouse are still on even when it stops working?

But yeah I will take your advice on the power management. Can you tell me what to do? Right now my mouse is plugged on the front side on the right socket.

Go to your Control Panel > System > Hardware tab > and click on the "Device Manager" button.

In the Device Manager window, find the item or items labeled "Universal Serial Bus controllers." Open it, and double-click the first item called "USB Root Hub."

In the USB Root Hub Properties dialog, click on the "Power Management" tab.

"Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" is checked by default. Uncheck this box, and click "OK."

Edit: you'll also be ableto check the drivers for the mouse under device manager / see if there are any conflict or other issues (also explained on the link I believe). if there arent, you can presume the cord etc may be duff

There are 2 "USB Root Hub" like this:

USB Root Plug
USB Root Plug

Which one do I click on the one above or below? Mind you my mouse is plug in the front usb ports plugged on the right port.

I don't have the same computer as you, therefore I can't say with any accuracy. You could always try both.
I gather that's the case's USB?! Those tend to die faster than the ones from the mobo.
I had similar problems with other mouses, both Razer and not.

One issue involved climate-control unit, don't ask me how, but when that thing was about to turned on or off, many of us had issues with USB devices. Nobody could figure out why - climate-control unit wasn't plugged into same sockets our PCs were, it was connected to different power grid.

Since I doubt that's the culprit in your case, I recommend to check different mouse on your PC, since you already tried your mouse on another PC. This way you'll be able to localize the problem - whether it's mouse, or USB port issue. Or both. In addition, check the way your mouse's cable is placed, there maybe some tension occurring, that causes dislodging of some wires/contacts during movement.

Also, IIRC Razer doesn't have two types of software for it's peripherals, like Logitech does, and uses Synapse for everything. Try to download different versions and install them, to figure out which one will work.

My computer is on a very unusual desk. Its not a traditional wooden desk like this:

http://s7d1.scene7.com/is/image/officedepot/565902_scene7?$Enlarge$

Mine is small, made of metal. The table to place the keyboard and mouse is small, flat like a glass window, and hanging in the air.

Its uncomfertable because now I cannot place my arms on the table because it will bend down. And the mouse cable is dangling in the air. I have to use this computer sitting upright.

Well I went to the Razer Nage website itself and they mentioned the exact problem of the Razer Naga 2014 in their FAQs.

"My mouse cursor is not moving.
Please try cleaning the sensor lens with a Q-tip and some rubbing alcohol and let it dry for 5 minutes and try the mouse again. If it still doesn’t work, contact us here or call 1-888-697-2037."

Have you tried plugging the mouse in to the computer through a self powered USB hub?

I have had problems with computers in the past that would give strange mouse connection problems because of low USB power, my particular problem would go away if I unplugged 1 or 2 bus powered USB devices thus freeing power up for the mouse. Using a self powered USB hub in the middle also removed the problem I experienced. Just something for you to check out.

Use a Q-tip to clean the lens?

If that does not work I will call them

Do them both, I would say, to be safe. My comp has 8 root hubs, hehe. Fortunately my mouse never shuts down, I think mine is using the driver for power management stuff.
Try the easy stuff first:

The USB settings as Sachys outlined.

Use a different port on your PC. Try all of them. You can also plug something else into any suspect USB ports to see if it causes problems with the other device(s). A thumb drive is a decent one since you'll likely get that pop-up when you plug it in, which is going to be an indicator that the thumb is losing and regaining connection. This is how I found a single problematic port on my laptop.

Driver.
I had this problem as well with my Death Adder mouse.
I had to download new drivers as well as Razer Synapse.
This fixed the issue for me.

Edit: Also for a temporary fix: Disable razerhid.exe on the processes tab of the task manager. This will allow you to use your mouse without it disconnecting until you restart your pc.

Had similar problems with a Razer mouse years ago - I'm afraid I never solved it and ended up replacing it with something else.
