My apologies to everyone. It has been one incredibly bumpy ride, but NWN is now working! Yaaaay!

About five minutes after I posted, NOTHING was working right.
Obviously, I can't expect GOG to function correctly if literally nothing on my system does.

I had a cyber security issue which I fixed very nicely. Problem is, it inspired my system to reinstall pretty much all of my drivers. Even this is fine except my video driver got completely messed up.

Before I knew it nothing was working right. Finally reinstalled the driver and all was swell.

In another story occurring at the same time a different companies software was royally messed up. It took five days to fix and after that I just needed to quiet time to pretend the computer was never invented and that I had not spent days troubleshooting instead of having fun.

But I'm back. Tonight I spent a while on launch crashes. I got that fixed

The good news is...invisible man syndrome is fixed.. I'm back in the saddle and playing my favorite game!

Glad you got it sorted. Wish I'd seen this thread when you first posted, as the invisible characters issue in NWN is an old known driver problem (and usually associated with AMD cards/drivers). However, to paraphrase the Bard, all's well that ens well. :)
