This is a bit odd. I'd like to snag them both.
Has anyone tried the Sniper: Ghost Warrior series?
Nice. But you missed the second Styx.

I bought the first three but only played part 1 so far... while the sniping can be good fun, the AI is sometimes kind of braindead, and the overall gameplay is middling at best. *shrug* I also came across some really weird bug - at least I think it was one - where I was supposed to wait for escape while being shot at by invisible enemies. =/ I did eventually beat that section, but it did kind of piss me off after a bunch of failed attempts; no, I did not want to restart the whole chapter again to see whether it would clear up since it was the end of that particular section..

Let's just say, I still haven't felt the urge to pick up part 2 in the 3 months since I finished the first. Make of that what you will.
I have an annoying bug.
I can't choose the Stealth Bastard Deluxe Complete Edition Deluxe.

Whenever I try to click it, I land at Stealth Inc. 2 Deluxe Edition.

Similarly, from Stealth Inc. 2 Deluxe, trying to get to the Standard Edition lands you at Stealth Bastard Deluxe Complete Edition instead of Stealth Inc 2. Standard Edition. At least there you can find the link in the midweek sales list.

Does the game allow the player to save at any time?

Yes. Have played 1 - 3 on console and 1 and 2 on PC as well.

I would not recommend SGW1 to anyone but completionists.

SGW2 is a bit better and feels more refined but is pretty much on rails and certainly pales in comparison with the Sniper Elite series.

SGW3 is a flawed gem IMHO. It plays very much like a mixture of Far Cry 2 and Splinter Cell. Yes, there are some issues (bugs) but nothing game-breaking. The story is a bit goofy, but the atmosphere is pretty good and the ability to take on situations from all sides at either close range or distance really sold me on the experience.

Haven't played SGW Contracts yet -- other than a few minutes -- but looking forward to playing as I have time.

I would like to say when saving manually it still would kick you back to the last checkpoint when restarting, but honestly I'm not totally sure about it anymore. Yup, it was such a memorable time. =P
Hmmm would you recommend Shadwen? That price sure is tempting, considering its short length.
I played the demo back in the day and it was alrite i suppose.

Is the editor still missing?

Considering, you played the demo, you know what to expect from the gameplay already.
I played it beginning to end and mostly enjoyed it.
However - the ending was quite disappointing (the alternative ending too).
But I'd say, if you enjoyed the demo - for €4,29 it's ok...just don't expect too much from the ending(s).

I would assume so - as far as I know, the editor is tied to the Steam Workshop:
https://www.pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Shadwen

The game is on sale on Humble...and apparently you get the Steam version, as well as a DRM-free version:
https://www.humblebundle.com/store/shadwen

Of course - that DRM-free version will miss the editor, too.
