Ice_Mage: What I coincidence. I'm also wondering whether to re-buy
Sanitarium.
I'm pretty sure I still have my CDs, though one of them was scratched (the store sold it to me in that state). I was only able to see the ending once, after many attempts. Not that it matters now, since I don't have an ODD anymore.
I loved the game back in the day. I tested it more recently, and there doesn't appear to be any way to run. I found that really grating considering how slowly the protagonist moves.
I'm also wary of the system requirements note that says it needs AMD drivers 13.4. I have no intention of installing drivers that ancient. They might not even support my card. I guess if it doesn't work, I can just ask for a refund.
Oh wow i had the slow walking phased out of my memory banks. But it instantly came back to me now. It was indeed a chore !
But yes it is indeed a very eerily charming game, with that signature touch DreamForge was known for in the rest of their catalogue.
Also i'm quite sure most of the voice acting was done internally since the same familiar voices are present in all their voiced games. Another point of charm for them.
Thanks for the AMD heads up. I had missed that detail but thankfully i'm on Nvidia :)
EDIT: Since i am waiting for tomorrow's release of Powerslave Exhumed, i will buy those 2 together.
