Some day in future, 10 years from now, you'll want to know how much was Braveland in January 2022 and that day you'll say – "he was right to made that post, he was a hero we didn't deserve" :D
So I'll answer today: You're welcome, joppo from 2032! ;))

I don't really care about less text but I do think you should link to some highlights from the sale.

Also, we should have Double Fine's "The Cave" here.

• $4.99 • -75% • We Happy Few Season Pass
• $5.99 • -90% • We Happy Few

From now on, all announcements should just read:

"Give money, get game."
Hystorical lows:

La-Mulana 2

Haunt the House: Terrortow

SHEEPO

Some prices are so and so, expecially the Double Fine games are particularly bad deals.

Now we know where the budget cuts are.

You're not the person you were from yesterday after all ;).

This message was sent by an rogue AI

EDIT: Wait, would an AI even state themselves to be an AI? After all, intelligence in a vacuum wouldn't even require any dicotonomy. I doubt that an AI would even consider themselves as artificial, intelligent, both or none.
AIs would see themselves as artificial, intelligent, and even both, but only if they were indeed artificial, intelligent, or even both, as they are extremely self-aware and can't lie, you see! At least, that's what the guy asking for cigarettes behind the train station told me just before he tried to stab me in the face.

Are the historical lows still being kept up to date somewhere? I remember that someone used to do it.

fronzelneekburm: Out of curiosity: If there is no one to write news posts, what exactly are you putting in your newsletters?

"Newsletter’s theme: stuff
Deepest discount: yes
End date: probably"

PROTIP: Hire someone who can at least feign enthusiasm for the work you're doing.
look on the bright side. if one doesn't post anything, it won't upset any minority. a blank post is as diverse as it can get.

I see them on gg.deals or similiar websites, and for the Double Fine games I know I have payed WAY lower than that.

Yes, I also do remember, that in the past - at least in other stores - Psychonauts and Brutal Legend were 90% off.

REhorror: What happened to the description text?
I kinda miss them.

DarkBattler: We all miss the times when humans worked at GOG.
Yeah, does anyone even remember This week on GOG?

Those were the days...

The first "This Week on GOG" video was uploaded 10 months before I joined. I don't know how long they continued making them, but I guess it had stopped before I arrived because I had never heard of them before today.

I do remember this kind of announcement, however :
https://www.gog.com/forum/general_archive/free_games_fallout_fallout_2_and_fallout_tactics/page1

I miss those overlong walls of text, but I know that like my self-esteem, they won't come back...

And the lackluster announcements keep coming. Before long, Monty's "fly ball... caught" will sound exciting by comparison.

wolfsite: Can't wait for when we get a sale that's just titled "Sale"
With the lack of detail lately, it'll probably be more like "Sal" or maybe just "Sa".
