DieRuhe: That was kind of my intent, like, how noticed would a giveaway be here if it doesn't scream GIVEAWAY!!? How many views would a giveaway thread get with a rather ambiguous and non-informative title? I didn't expect a lot, and wanted to see if my suspicions were correct.
That's a reason why i was very much against the "put giveaway in the title so that we can ignore you" crowd, and against their call for a giveaways subforum. I didn't like the idea of giveaways directly adressed to those who seek giveaways. Plus, i didn't like the strict opposition between giveaways and nongiveaways, as the coolest threads were often hybrids.
BUT my point is, the current climate is not ideal for your experiment. We're currently flooded with out of place witcher3 threads (presented as if their subject is obvious), and your thread title was mimicking them pretty well. So, it didn't test the general curiosity of people towards nongiveaways (which it would have done a couple of weeks ago), it tests the self-preservation of all those who recently learnt to run away screaming at the sight of anything resembling yet-another-generic-witcher3-thread.
So, do take in account the particularity of this particular moment, when interpreting the results... :-/
I swear i swear i would have instaclicked on your thread, if the witcherflood context hadn't made its content seem (wrongly) "obvious" to me.
