[This is a sticky post, it will be visible in every single page of this thread. It has been published in October 2020.]

Our moderation team decided not to take a side in the discussion since this giveaway thread was created by the community and, as long as there are no forum rules violated, is up to you, dear Gogers, to decide its fate. We will not set giveaway rules, edit the OP's post, nor lock the whole thread.

However, to make it easier for newcomers to understand the situation (about the OP being inactive and other), I will stick my own post right above the first one.

You are, of course, free to create new threads to start anew and make your own, clear rules. At the same time, please stay reasonable when crating them, as multiple new duplicates might make it even more confusing for many Gogers.

For those like me who can't read and are wondering why it's not showing up in their windows xbox app: It's for the xbox *consoles*. Since everything games-related is now branded as xbox by microsoft, there might be others just as confused. The giveaway, i.e. the link, works but the game might not show up in your app on pc both before and after redeeming, since that one shows the windows edition(s).

I don't know who is gonna find it confusing. You just scroll down to the "Play with" section on the right hand part of the page and it shows you the specs. That's how you can tell which platform(s) it's for, no question. I'd think people would realize by now YMMV.

Putting up a link to a game which is neither temporarily or permanently free in a competing store, in other words advertising for a competing store, is one of the best ways to get a forum thread closed. If that's not your aim, you should take it down.

GOG allows links to free game giveaways. They don't allow links to games for sale in competing stores, in other words advertising for competing stores. Feel free to look up article 2.18 in the GOG Code of Conduct.

Doesn't matter what you, I, or anyone else "comprehends" while reading it, GOG have closed many forum threads for this exact reason in the past.

I don't know about you, but I find the Massive Giveaways Blog very helpful, so I prefer it stay open.

If you want GOG to change their policy you should take it up with them.

To add a bit of clarity you got to scroll down nearly to end of the page to add it to your library

also upon checking my license activation it's say's it's HITMAN World of Assassination Episode: Sapienza yet 76 GB for one episode is a bit much steam's gotta be a big buggy at the moment
