darthspudius: The first was quite different but no one praises the original game despite being the last creative thing that bloody company ever did. Overrated it is not.

snowkatt: i always felt bioware as a whole was over rated

the first mass effect reminded me of kotor with the star wars license ripped off

and i always hit a brickwall when i get to the citadel
it reminds me even more of kotor especially 2 and id rather play that
And Baldur's Gate?

Elmofongo: And Baldur's Gate?
...bleh

never cared much about that either

Elmofongo: Here is my opinion:

I find the Mass Effect sequals at least consistent with the first game in the series. In look, tone, and gameplay to a degree.

...

Mass Effect still felt the same despite the change in gameplay. And the fact that we still play the same character.
Except of course that Shepard developed into something of a sex fiend after the first game...

Avogadro6: Why the Mako. Why the goddamned Mako. :\

Elmofongo: Or they could you know make it control better :P
Or they could make life simpler for everyone and just reintroduce the Hammerhead. Or, even better, a flying shuttle or whatever; something that doesn't suffer hard terrain conditions and is not just there for nostalgy value. The free roaming sessions in Mass Effect 1 gave me PTSD.

I wouldn't disagree about Bioware. I really dislike their early games but if you actually played past the introduction you might find something worth playing lol.

Personally I thought the Mako was awesome. Nothing wrong with how it controlled either. The only problem was the planetary height maps. All they'd had to do was to divide the vertical axis of the height maps by 2, and it would have been perfect.

i think biowares best games are kotor 1 and jade empire and jade empire because of its setting

kotor 2 is better then kotor 1

Personally I believe Bioware killed Bioware not EA.

Man, you're doing too much to begin with that is your problem. You can just do the main quest and come back for the little things.
