Tell that to the scathing reviews and how it bottomed out with an overall lower score than 06, the game where Sonic is kissed back to life.
Mario Fatigue is a real thing. But my actual fatigue with the series is that it seems they can't live without slapping a timer on their games. Super Mario Galaxy was amazing, grandiose, and still is the best Mario in my book.
You can rush headlong, or you can sit down on a planet and chill out. Why they feel the need in Super Mario 3D World to have the invisible broom of death rush you along and slap any of the staff who put any effort into the game, is baffling to me.

I know Sonic had his own tv show. I'm saying he didn't have that great theme song.

I love both series, but Mario series and its spin-offs are beyond Sonic series. Sega failed several times, but Nintendo and Mario still are popular.

Sonic is a good memory for us (Sega Genesis fans, or old Sonic fans). Most new gamers are not interested in Sonic, They don't know Sonic, but they know Mario universe.

I can't blame them. We had Sonic Boom, they have Sonic Boom. :D

What about Sonic the Hedgehog: The Movie? I know it's not a cartoon series but I read that it was originally 2 OVA's combined into one when it was licensed outside of Japan.

I miss *this* Sonic.

i may sound biased for my avatar, but i do prefer sonic games over mario, I totally agree that some games are rushed and non polished (looking at you sonic boom) , especially the last years (like a lot of last years) but sega always for better or for worse tried new things... and failed most of them but, i respect them for trying.

right now i´m doing a marathon of the sonic games that i can get my hands on , and they are ok in retrospective. I refuse to play shadow the hedgehog , that´s is too low even for me.

I was refering to the songs though, not the shows, the comment about the show was a side comment. He even had a band in Underground.

EDIT: Sure, ignoring the songs played in underground, the theme songs were about him, not by him.
