It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

I've had this happen in the last big sale or two, but right now, both the Full Throttle giveaway and the entire Flash Deals section are refusing to display properly for me, instead getting stuck on the three-loading-dots-of-doom. My primary browser is Pale Moon 28, but the display is equally broken in IE 11. I've already attempted clearing my browser cache and offline website data, but no dice. Fortunately I was able to go in through Galaxy and claim the free Full Throttle offer, but I'd still like to know why the site isn't working properly. Anyone able to lend a hand?

Use a current browser and not broken software like IE11 or an inofficial fork of an old as shit Firefox version.

Same issue here with Firefox 52.9 ESR. I'm not willing to upgrade to user enemy Quantum.

But Edge did work as a workaround.
Is GOG Galaxy an option? You can buy things from GOG Galaxy & website loads just fine now on store page.

Pale Moon 28.2.2 was (and is) working fine on the site with the exception of the front sale page. I don't know why this is the case.

FYI the front sale page works fine for me in Firefox 63.03 and Opera 57.0.
Same here, main page fails to load properly on both Firefox ESR 52.9 and latest Palemoon 28.2.2. I WILL NOT downgrade to the steaming pile of shit that post-WebExt Firefox is. FOR SHAME, GOG, FOR SHAME!
pale moon and ie 11.
bro I cant even...
The most reliable way to get the front page loading and displaying properly for the duration of the Sale is to use a Chrome based browser, and you don't even have to worry about it being the latest updated version as it doesn't really matter; my ancient Vivaldi (v.1.0.435.46) renders it absolutely fine.

Yes, as I noted, Galaxy worked fine, so at least I was able to get the freebie.

Can't even what? Pale Moon is a fine little browser that retains everything that made the original Firefox great, as opposed to the steaming pile of garbage it's become today. Most importantly, it's actually compliant with web standards, while GOG's sale version of the homepage evidently isn't. It's become absurd how many web developers out there bow at the almighty altar of Google instead of practicing proper web design. And no, I don't actually use IE 11 unless a site doesn't display properly in PM: this is a Windows 7 box, so Edge isn't an option.

Yeah, I'm not installing a completely-separate browser just because GOG can't code their homepage properly.

I'm with you, just sharing my personal experience - get a portable version of an open source Chrome based browser (I had gotten Vivaldi way back to check it out), sandboxie it, and use it if the need arises. Then again, I'm not a GOG Galaxy user.

That's ridiculous, Chrome's monopolizing of the internet is worse than IE's ever was. You mentioning this reminded me I had an old Vivaldi, 1.0.344.37 (Beta 2) (64-bit). Worked fine.

Good to know GOG genuinely care about updated software and aren't just lip servicing Google. /s

They are just keeping their homepage up to date...

Honestly, they should have just put all these information in a stickied thread as it affects a good number of users.
Site not working on old browser versions
As much as we’d like to, it’s impossible for us to keep support for all old versions of popular browsers. There is a reason why browsers are being updated by their creators (mainly being security reasons), and our main goal is to keep the site up to date with the latest versions.
And when it comes to IE support, due to the amount of work needed to support the website under IE combined with a very low margin of users, we decided to drop IE11 support entirely.

It's not "up-to-date," it's ignoring basic web standards while implementing features that only render properly in a single browser, just because it happens to be the most popular choice. Pale Moon is an actively-developed browser that receives frequent security and feature updates, and GOG's sale page is just about the only site I've come across that's fundamentally broken on it. If GOG's design team had just stuck to basic design standards, their site would work fine on every browser on the market. Instead, they're actively locking out a portion of their userbase due to bad practices.

Woo-hoo, I mention the version of mine as a prime example that contradicts GOG's talk about what browsers they support, but you've got not only an even older one but a beta version to boot.

You've been longer than me here, so I'm fairly certain you're aware that everybody and their cat at GOG uses Google Chrome, and that every time GOG changes something it always works on Chrome, but chokes on browsers of other engines. the first thing GOG Support tells one if they submit a ticket about having an issue with the site is to try Chrome; the concept of using a different browser out of choice apparently eludes them.
