DukeNukemForever: Interesting...

Looking on Kotor 1 & 2, I guess gog can't port them, as the rights for mac and linux versions belongs to Aspyr. I hope the negotiations with them are going fine and we will hopefully see some linux & mac versions in the future.
While I believe there's hope to see a Mac version of KOTOR 1 here (it is on Steam), I have high doubts about KOTOR 2, which has never been released on Mac.
Big congratulations to GOG for landing this Lucasarts deal, hope this will bring the company forward to an even brighter future.

Shmacky-McNuts: I am more interested in the TOS of Disney. Who are we dealing with exactly if we are told to agree to 3rd party TOS policies when purchasing games from GOG?

Whats the point of telling us to abide to a TOS from Disney if they tell us we are restricted after just making a purchase on GOG that counters this TOS claim?

Yeah...confusing >_>

Sooooo, do we have a DRM-free game from GOG but can't use it because we just defacto agreed with Disney TOS? DOH! lol

Grargar: It's just a generic EULA that Disney uses. You know like EA's one which apparently demands you install Origin before you play Dungeon Keeper or something. :P
Oh I dig what yer saying man, I just have to ask and hope GOG personnel will tell me the legal status of this is. Because one TOS contradicts the other and Disney isn't exactly known for being legally nice, yeah? *wink*

In reality, Disney could in one fell swoop take down ALL the games on GOG if they wanted to based on this loop hole. Well, technically, I'm not suggesting they would. It is just a topic people forget amidst the excitment. I been waiting years for these games as is the Bethesda game. So, who knows.

In reality, the worst Disney could do would be to force GOG to remove their games from sale. Nothing more.

Well. No...uh, wait, sorta agree with you. But that would be bad for GOG. I ponder if they would consider putting some kind of DRM on the games just to appease Disney.

I doubt it. Should Disney decide to abandon ship, the biggest reason for them to be doing so, is if they no longer find GOG profitable. DRM offers won't exactly lure them back.
Hey GOG, why the L.A. games are lacking the names of the devs in their gamecards? Some of them are third-party titles (like KOTOR 1 and 2 and Empire at War)
GOG makes the Kessel Run in less than twelve parsecs. :)

And there was much debating...

Well regardless, good chattin mate! Hope to see the TOS topic regarding such matters in the next few days resolved in patron favor =D

tarasis: Now the question Galactic Battlegrounds or Empire at War. IIRC I bought the CD version of Rebellion a long time ago but it wasn't really for me. The other two are more appealing, though iirc they dropped some of the features I wanted from Empire at War (the early videos showed space combat and then Tie Fighters landing in a rebel ship, the storm troopers getting out and fighting on the ship).

I never realised that Rogue Squadron came our for the PC, I thought it was always console based.
I like them both but for different reasons:

GB: It is an old school RTS. Campaign mode is nice and skirmish mode is great. I love playing RTS in skirmish mode and this is basically the same as AoE skirmish mode; gather resources, build your base, produce units and make AI suffer (or the opposite!).

EaW: You get campaign mode which is nice enough, you get Galactic Conquest mode that is great (basically a sandbox experience) and you also get Skirmish mode. In campaign & galactic conquest you'll see the map of the entire galaxy and try to conquer all the planets via space & land battles, like in a 4x strategy game. The skirmish battles are too simplistic for my tastes because you start with the base ready and you just upgrade it, but other players may find them enjoyable. As I said, the highlight of the game for me is Galactic Conquest mode.

Hope I helped you a little! :-)

You might even say...GOG has taken its first step into a larger world.

*ahem* I'm sorry.
REBELLION!!!

These...these tears...so happy...

You did indeed Vythonaut, thank you.
Thanks for more releases today :D

Scored em all!

I wonder when I'll see Dark Forces 2 or Shadows of the Empire? So many memories :)
We can clearly see how fans dislike the episodes I, II and III, since almost none of the games from this era are memorable. Right?

Not to me, since I love Battle for Naboo, Jedi Power Battles *yup*, Gungan Frontier, Bombad Racing (am I'm some kinda african AVGN?) and many more :P
