Nice! Regional pricing just made games MORE expensive for me! Thanks! :)

Kunovski: hehe, just imagined GOG would keep the prices in USD stuck and the other currencies would be directly connected to some exchange rate site and you could actually buy something cheaper in the morning and more expensive a couple hours later :P
Just had the exact same thought. :D

bioshark: When will you guys implement a wallet system? :)
I was going to ask the same question.
It seems you calculate with the lowest Euro exchange rate of the latest 18 months instead of the average now. And even with that rate (1Euro = 1,261 Dollar) the Euro price is a little higher than the Dollar price. Not a big problem for me, because most games were a little cheaper for me during the last weeks and it seems the exchange rate keeps sinking. But I hope that you are as fast with adjusting the prices once the Euro gets stronger again.
Had to happen I guess, though still a couple of cents cheaper to buy in AUD $ on gog than the paypal conversion process.

The general drop in the Australian dollar is making me think twice about buying stuff now.

Apparently investors are more confident in the US dollar which is helping our currency slide (they had invested in our dollar).

JudasIscariot: Look in your account where you go to download games from your shelf :) You will see a "Store credit balance <number>" in whatever currency you have store credit in. For example, I have store credit in both Euros and pounds and I can check how much I have in both currencies because there is a drop down menu :)

Getcomposted: Can you add the codes you received from buying Original Sin to Store Credit or are they still locked to $5.99 and $9.99 games?
You might have to write to Support about thoe codes as I am not sure, sorry :(

Yes, but isn't it more convenient to pay in your local currency. ;)

Are you guys saying there is a way to add credit to GOG? Some kind of wallet? I can't find anything in my account about that.

stg83: Yes, but isn't it more convenient to pay in your local currency. ;)
Oh, so much more convenient!
Seems like a decent way.

But it doesn't seem necessary to pay in dollars (at least for uniquely priced software) to gain a bit, after all: I am not paid in dollars. So that makes virtually no difference.

Now, if only everything could be done in such a decent way... :/

Although, this brings an interesting issue: everything is linked to dollars, so prices evolve depending on the respective values of other currencies in comparison with US dollars. So if the dollar loses value, the prices will NOT go higher, same if it gains value, the games will NOT be cheaper.
But that's a general issue I guess. Although as a Polish company, it'd be more logical to decide on prices depending on the złoty, and not the dollar...

My two cents (eurocents that is! :D)...

Thank you, I'll do that now.
It seems like dollar is the master currency for GOG. So basically all the contracts with the publishers will still be in dollar and the currency conversion is just cosmetics for the customers. The good thing is that ehy adapt the prices regularly, so it doesn't really matter what currency you choose.

Yes, but...

GOG.com: Please remember that you have the option to switch your preferred currency back to USD in the site's footer.
And i know the feel, bro. I live in Brazil, where 1USD = 2,4528BRL, plus the taxes.

If there were regional prices for me, i would be f*cked.

drinnen: Bear in mind this is prices going up. I bet prices won't be changing so quickly on the way down.
That' my main concern but it still is a great news to see prices fluctuations.

Fun fact : I was talking about that yesterday .... now I don't know if I have to feel listenned to or spied on ;) [but I bet it's just some mass epidemic of common sense]

Edit : and get rid of psychological prices if you may !

I feel like the dollar is getting stronger. Maybe it's going to be 1$ = 1€ soon.
Thankfully there is still the option to buy in $, so it might come in handy.
