Finally, the sky is within our grasp! Did you reach out to it already? Are you planning on doing so during the weekend? Well go on, show us how your universe looks like!

Every planet in the vast, boundless galaxy of No Man's Sky is a unique ecosystem, with different vistas, creatures, and environmental conditions greeting each and every one of us when we begin our adventure.

So to all you explorers out there: capture these opening moments of your journey in a one-minute video or grab some luscious screenshots and share them here with the rest of us spacefarers.

So, GOGarins, how does your universe look like?
980ti and 6700k and I got over 120 FPS but the stutters made it not an enjoyable experience. Furthermore, the game does not seem to render at your native resolution... that would explain why it looks so blurry.

gloombandit: Well, there's my gaming week-end, right there - Kilgore, Arvan & RetroTom - with the hilarity of the chat-room to boot.

I raise a fine ale to the devs of the game, for working on updates & patches - seems they're even taking into consideration purchasers with below min spec systems.

That is exemplary.
They declared min specs nVidia GTX 480. And at the same time they require OpenGL 4.5
nVidia GTX 480 is OpenGL 4.2 max

Do you see the problem here?

Now that is some burn :(

Also, earlier in this thread or the release one, wasn't there mention that some kind of change was made to the requirements?

Hmmm. Deffo some refunds will be on their way, but still, optimistic for patching.
low rated

mishosonic: Total biscuit had a gtx 1080 and he was having major problems, stop defending terrible optimization. They seem to have rolled out a few good updates but the launch wasn't good.
Good for his broken computer? Maybe it has cancer and died?

I can run game max with 4x SSAA , High everything... MAX and no performance problems.

This game came with the most chopped down settings I've ever experienced in a game. However was my horror of the 30fps and low settings, I was thrown into a world of absolute discovery and wonder.

This is the best game for kids I have ever played and I'm 30 so I've played a few of them.

All and all if your reading this and not playing..... Why???

P.s.
Is there any multiplayer on the horizon?
Because that would just be totally tits (lol).

Yes, they've changed requirements, but on store page, their webpage and also steam store page nVidia GTX 480 is still minimum required GFX card.

Because this piece of game won't launch even on minimum required specs.

Sorry. I think that i will download The Witcher from my GOG library and play it instead. No Man's Sky is not my cup of tea.
The game won't even boot up for me on my laptop, so I'm waiting some kind of patch so that it will. Pretty disappointed. Yes, the computer more than meets the minimum specs. Intel Core i7, 8GM Ram, Radeon 6750M - 2GB VRAM, etc. (I said minimum and I don't mind playing with dumbed down graphics). I've got a gaming PC at home, but am traveling for the next month, so I won't be able to try it on that for a little while.

Too bad the game didn't come out for the Xbox One; I'd be playing it right now. Anyone know why that is?

Your GPU is well below the minimum specs. Scroll down to "Differences" and see how much faster the minimum 7870 is.

Like Windows 7.

Whenever I start No Man's Sky it crashes immediately to the desktop.

If I can run Elite: Dangerous on this thing, then I shouldn't have any issues running No Man's Sky at minimum settings.

I'm afraid that's not how minimum requirements work. Does the 6750M even come with OpenGL 4.5 support? No Man's Sky won't run on anything below that, no matter how good your GPU is.

Seriously, gog?
So many customers complaining about technical issues with this game and you have nothing better to do than piss them off even further with a thread like this?

openGL feature levels are not related to the hardware, unlike DirectX. You only need a driver with the required openGL support.
