staticblast: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peer_Gynt

The introduction section should be explanation enough.
I was aware of the play (in passing) and while I now know slightly more about it I still don't understand TStael's statement. :)

mechmouse: I was depressed to see the next general election isn't until 2020. Another 4 years of tory rule. The by-elections are a nice indicator but we've got a long time to go.

Been too long since we've had a real Labour government. Tony Blair was conservative lite and did a huge amount of damage to Labour's image.
I admit it will be quite painful with engineer lead government in Finland - but it had to be so to force the Finnish racist party unto governmental responsibility. It is easy to promise anything from opposition, and all that. In power, it is bit more realistic, and hard.

As a result, in the next government SDP and socialists and greens will be there, I think.

Relative representation though.

Crosmando: It will be good if Corbyn gets elected in the UK, Shorten here in Australia, and either Sanders or Hillary (though I do still hate her) in America, along with the semi-recent Canadian elections that will mean most of the " Anglo West" has swung left for a change.
I like your style Crosmando.

There are us Finns whom think our nation would do well to respect ILO 169.

TStael: A case of Peer Gynt rather - but nice that you care!

There is a famed suite in Peer Gynt by Grieg that is known, at least by us Finns, as "dance of the mountain trolls" - vuorenpeikkojen tanssi,

Grieg is a Norwegian classical composer. The reference is somewhat playful.

Are you talking about the last movement of that suite, "In the Hall of the Mountain King"? Very nice bassoon parts in that movement. (If you are playing 2nd bassoon, make sure that your reed can handle low notes well; I believe that part is sometimes asked on orchestra auditions.)

SirPrimalform: What cutting satire! Please?

Crosmando: He also hasn't done his homework, we banned our guns here down under quite a while ago... Even the "conservative" side here is anti-gun.
I've done plenty. That's why the Aussie armed robbery rate rose and there are still gangsters with guns down under. It is also why I disregard the "conservatives" in some of these countries as cucks and would vote for the Shooters and Fishers Party (soon to be the Shooters, Fishers, and Farmers Party I hear) if I was an Australian citizen.

Also, I never said it had to be through legal methods to get hold of those guns and ammo. They should do what gangsters already do and illegally import.

Aha yes, I had no hope of getting that. I am aware of Grieg's Peer Gynt but I don't think that suite is called that in English. :P
