(warning. swearing, f-bombs, ranting)
So just found out about gog today. wanted to say after doing a bit of research I've found my new gaming place.
So why did I decide to remove steam from my computer?
Why did I decide to give up all my lovely steam games?
Answer to both of these questions is because I discovered I don't really own them.
Now a bit of a rant.
Looking through the forums on gog. I see that gog respects freedom of speach, freedom of expression.
This is one of the many MANY things that annoyed me about steam forums. In steam forums fun is not allowed . .or it is . .or maybe you just posted the wrong thing at the wrong time and some moderator decided he was in a pissy mood and wanted to ban you from the forums.
At any rate there is very little oversight to steam forums as far as the moderators go. There is a very fine line of what you can and can't post and as I've stated it depends on . . well I don't fucking know actually because sometimes you see post with text art and it's there for months and get berried and nothing is done about it. Not that I have any problem with text art it's just that why is it even an issue? again steam forums is not a place to have fun apparently.
Before I left steam I posted a thread in the 'suggestions' forum on steam. It was tittled "here's a suggestion' fallowed by a text art of a hand giving the finger and a rant about all the shit I was fedup with on steam.
Now this leads me to another thing. I have been on steam for over 3 years and in all that time I've seen the red tape pile up and pile up and it's to the point where I am afraid to take a shit the wrong way for risk of having steam take my playing privileges away. (sarcasm) but you get what I mean. So goodbye steam, I wont miss you. >:)
In short. Thank GOG we have gog. Because fuck steam, fuck dmr, fuck Gabe Newell.
Also was wondering where the sticky is about rules in the forums? Oo ironic I know.
