So, is this Warhammer Quest something like the good old Hero Quest?
Thank You for giveaway.
Thanks for the goodies pack. The extra code for owners of WH Shadow of the Horned Rat is good until 4th June 2022. The game has lower review score here because it suffered with infinite loading screen on some systems, that had to do with thread affinity on modern cpus and windows scheduler confusing this old game. My system wasn't affected, tho it was reported to be fixed years ago. Didn't age so well compared to Dark Omen (gog, bring us that pls)... and this version also lacks keyboard shortcuts (wth!), so you have to click on buttons instead which slows you down as a player. I found the original with kb shortcuts easier. Other than that, a true classic.

HunchBluntley: Why is Dark Future: Blood Red States listed as a Warhammer game? I admittedly don't know much about Warhammer, but AFAICT, Dark Future doesn't even have the tenuous connection to WH that the Talisman IP has. Am I off my meds, or is it really just a case of "Games Workshop published the boardgame version, therefore it's Warhammer"?
Iirc it's exactly that case, a parallel universe where things went rather madmax instead. Gamesworkshop's marketing moves in mysterious ways sometimes, so the game gets promotion alongside WH. Maybe there is some deeper connection in the lore somewhere, but it eluded me.

They are similar sure.
Thank you for the gift, GOG :D

Nice to see Blood Bowl 2 here and glad to read that 1 is making it's way also. The more the merrier!

Now, Sega...shame on you that not even a game from 2004 like Dawn of War is allowed to be here, as it should, as a classic. Maybe there're trying to cut it down in multiple DLC's and only then it will release here :P

argamasa: Atm not possible through Galaxy, only browser.
Thanks, I should've read the fine print.

Stereochild: Thanks, I should've read the fine print.
You´re welcome!
Appreciate the giveaway, but the Wrath and Glory adventure inclusion seems a bit weird considering the game's been cancelled. The little flier for the core rulebook expired in January and going on the website, you can't even search it up anymore.

I'm not throwing shade, i just think it's a bit strange they couldn't just give us the base game seeing as it's not being developed anymore.

Thanks. :)
But when I hear what TotalBiscuit had to say about the game I lose every interest I had.

Redfoxe: Soooo
Any chance Dark Omen could get released here?
This.

Methinks it the Win 95 compatibility issue again. Same as why we don't have a SimCity 2000 version.
Nice, thanks for the goodies!

It's more about legal rights and willingness to distribute the game again. Afaik EA owns the game, Games workshop owns the WH brand - I imagine one cannot distribute it without the other. Though we did get Shadow of the Horned Rat eventually, which has GoG listed as publisher, so who knows... although EA had nothing to do with it.
Hope the absence of Bulwark Studios' next project (which just has to be a follow-up to Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus) was just due to it not quite ready to be officially unveiled yet.

The announcement is still to happen this month:

Is it true, that the first Warhammer Quest has micro-transactions? Because I did read, that the Steam version originally has (had?).

...

Oh and thanks GOG & publishers for the freebies/giveaway!

Not true. All previous additional content from the mobile version has been bundled in a single DLC. So if you want to get the fullest experience, I recommend getting it.

Edit: apparently, GoG sells only the Deluxe version which includes the DLC.
