Which was a profoundly shameful thing for GOG to do, given the circumstances. They should have put in the smidgen of effort to moderate and warn offensive people, rather than their oh-so-gloriously-enlightened policy of leave it until you don't.

Agreed. GoG is pretty good about freedom of speech here, but the severely offensive speech isn't curtailed by mods, just the entire discussion that spawned it.

The GOG forums are probably the most lenient and accepting ones out there.

Which is the problem. You should have been banned for all the vitriol you spewed, but the thread should have stayed. Instead, it's blanket censorship.

You can revisit that yourself, the thread is still there for all to see. You weren't the worst, but still worth a ban.
