So, first, Peter Freese posted this picture on Facebook: https://scontent-sjc2-1.xx.fbcdn.net/t31.0-8/13730909_10155177086904762_9213654059089111144_o.jpg

In it we see Peter Freese, Daniel Bernstein, Kevin Kilstrom, Nick Newhard, Matt Saettler and the post mentions Craig Hubbard. If you don't know who these people are. all of these men worked at Monolith and worked on Blood. Credits here

So then, Jace Hall, who was co-founder of Monolith and is "the voice" in the game's multiplayer, went on Facebook and said this:

"The world may not ready for this kind of greatness... CRUDUX CRUO!"

"Crudux Cruo" is a direct quote from the game and is something the many cultists you slaughter throughout the game shout at you (pretty sure it means "fresh blood")

I am so fucking overhyped. Thoughts? Opinions? Is this marvelous game finally going to live again?

Yes pls. Where Duke has fallen and Lo Wang has been reborn Caleb must live again.

E: Wonder what Leonard's been up to these days? Probably fishing with dynamite.

Forgot to mention, if you check Jace's Twitter he posted some tweets about this.

https://twitter.com/JaceHall/status/753844510870810624

"The gathering of the people in this picture may hint at something epic ... That's all I gotta say... #ItLivesAgain?"

https://twitter.com/JaceHall/status/751611945292222464

"Sitting here with OG game designer Nick Newhard @GameNick discussing secrets.. U do the math. #iLiveAgain"

I just pray to Tchernobog they get Stephen Weyte to do Calab again. I'm pretty sure he said he'd always be down to re-visit the character.

Perhaps it's just the release of the source code?

that would make me erect.
Could be exciting... I'm going to hold off on the excitement until it shows up on GOG's "Upcoming" tab though. :)

Erm... whatever tickles your fancy I guess.
You guys will hate me for this but that game was rough even at time of release. Certainly a lot of the attraction has to be more nostalgia then anything right?
Though I'm up for a remake.

It would mean, no more messing around with dosbox and being able to play Blood with modern controls if a source code release happened.

Game's not perfect, its pretty buggy and I'd say its less solid than SW even in the overall game feel and SW has more issues than Duke 3D; which is arguably the most well-rounded of the BUILD games. Some of it might even be Ken's fault as he kept changing things in the engine which gave Monolith hell during development, possibly leading to some things not being fully realized/polished.

Who cares about a reboot, we want the source code!
I would love to see something new from them... unless it sucked.
Cool, I'd be interested, we need more shooters that are all about gory silly action fun.
