That is quite an achievement (pun intended). Ok, I was pretty sick of the very idea of Galaxy from the start, but I did not expect it going Beta to be so damn annoying. The whole forum is drowning in threads about it, mostly some pointless "friend me" threads. Even the damn banner on the main page is annoying, the white-on-purple letter make my eyes hurt.

Yes, I know I'm just complaining to complain, many people want Galaxy an this is a transitional period and bla bla bla. I don't care. I just felt that I need to vent. If anyone else needs it to, please join me :) If not, I apologise, move along.

The 'friend me' threads are a bit annoying, but it will all settle down soon enough, I think.

If it stays this way I imagine I'll just find enough informative and/or entertaining threads to favorite to fill my front page and use that as my GOG forum.

I don't really mind but what I'm reminded of is being at a great party, when everyone suddenly everyone starts leaving to go to another great party across the street leaving only me and a couple of other people staring uncomfortably at each other.

edit : Not that I like going to parties. In fact I despise them.

I'm reminded of that bachelor party where everyone suddenly only stared at their smartphones for hours and extended virtual friendships while real ones could have been occurring.

There may be some good coming from Galaxy, but as of right now, I am of course only seeing the steamification problem.

Community bonding is great piracy prevention/copy protection, by the way.

Not using the D-word here. ;)
