They also need to add "Hit & Run" genre, as well as "Touch & Run" and "Touch & ..." something else :)

Seems excessive. Though in that theme I guess stealth games could now be under the "hidey-hidey-hide" filter.

We should suggest that to the Japanese games industry. I'm pretty sure they already have a whole bunch of titles that fit into those categories...

This is the country that once considered the Top Gun game for the C64 too violent to be sold in stores. Making sense isn't a high priority here.

After all, we also refer to first person shooters as "egoshooters".

On that note though - I have been to the beach there and seen people pay a premium to use the... KKA? (nudist beach), then just wander all over the regular beach, then the dog beach (squalching through all the poo as well) because it was low tide. O_____o

...Though I believe Hormursiel and the surrounding area are considered odd at any rate?! I'm guessing they're the Deutsche equivalent of... dunno... Skegness!

Yeah, there's a joke stereotype about people from East Frisia being a bit weird and overly literal minded, even though the place you mentioned isn't actually part of that region, but it's so close that it might as well count (I actually had to look the place up, since I'm a Western German with roughly the same geographical knowledge as a tapeworm).

Can't believe the conversation went on for this long without anyone pointing out that there is a "platformer" filter:

It's not on the sidebar like Action or Adventure, but if you click on the "platformer" tag on any game that has it, or just write it on the search function, all the games tagged as platformers will come up.
