I entered the post just to see someone complaining about a minor silly detail, but wow, that surpases all my expectations XD

I wonder if the purple line is there to tell us that something is happening with Connect at the moment, or if it's purely decoration. I guess we'll find out when the offer expires.

well it is claimed to still be optional even though it is now out of beta status
last time i tried (recently) on another computer, i only saw features that turned out to be both annoying and automatic/impossible to turn off (as no settings for them)
the "wow" factor on some other features are either useless to me, or i already use custom solutions and alternatives (see below)

So, yep, not very appealed by it and GOG has very tight/small margin to ever convince me or change my mind because of how i got used to do without it perfectly fine...

(Galaxy features): Like "cloud saves".... well, the point of a drm free game is to be able to work even without internet connection available. If my saves get corrupted or deleted accidentaly or whatever and i cant connect to galaxy, then i'm done... well, not really, in fact, as i already long ago made up a system to save, sync and backup my savegame among 4 different computers at home and a NAS device (plus a thumbstick usb thingy for backup or for the sake of showing things to friends when i visit them)...
And i fear galaxy yet doesnt either propose any way to centralize, sync and backup game saves in a LAN, it's all about cloud computing hype...


On the positive side: useful feature is the wallet amount immediatly visible in the dropdown top menu...

but as i said, when it comes to make my experience faster, painless, smoother and les stedious: no decent navigation buttons to browse my game library, or to browse dozens of store page of same category, and no filter to hide owned games from the store (if i want to gift them, i'll just turn the filter off or access storepage through my library)
so, again, things that should be easy and fast when i want to buy a new game or manage one in my lib still takes ages of tedious serial clicking

The sales are colour-coded. And there is a kind of Galaxy/Connect purple strip along the top. Not a ton of colour, but a step forward.

Needs more Comic Sans.

Anyway, it doesn´t remind you of updated games, as the old version did. I miss that.

That thin purple strip above the black bar is already bothering the hell out of me aesthetically.

Also, you're going to want to reinstate the menu bar global notifications.

Game notifications are still there. But you have to go to your collection and look under "updated".

But it would be quite annoying to look each day. :(

It may be minor, but it still does bothers me.

(On the other hand, the issue about forum/chat notifications being gone *is* a major issue and should be fixed as soon as possible.)

I agree the fonts need to be bigger,though. Maybe a option to choose the size of the fonts?

Disclaimer: I didn't check out previous comments as i don't have much free time to do this right now, but here's my constructive critisism regarding the mobile site (as i currently don't have access to my laptop):

* When zooming to be able to read posts (as i use a 4" screen), the menu items get in the way so i can't read the actual posts easily (it looks like the menu items float outside the nav bar box/div, or something like that). In the previous design, the more i zoomed the less menu items i could see (and use), which wasn't helpful either. On that account, the new nav bar is better but still isn't designed as best as it could. I'd propose a design like the frontpage menu which is accessed by pressing a button (at least for the extra small device media query), since it would be easier to use in very small screens.

* The account menu item should not send the user into the library; it should be a toggle menu where the user can choose other items in this menu (for example "Wishlist"). It was my main gripe previously and it didn't change yet. Really, it wasn't fun when i was trying to access any of the menu's items while the page was loading to get me into the Library.

* I like the colors. :P

The small font size is criminal. The typeface itself has a poor legibility, especially at small sizes. It is as if it was purely chosen for its looks rather than legibility. Is it even meant to be used for body text or is this a display typeface that is meant for headlines?

I will be using a custom style sheet now, something which I never did before. Very disappointed about this.
