blotunga: Guys, please check the source while checking out to see the number mrkgnao was talking about. Who knows maybe we can find some correlation for the next Pinatas.
Got the following chat from GOG:
"Hi. :) There's no correlation between Pinata products and game that you get.
They're drawn after you finish your checkout."

You can delete my note from the OP.

vicklemos: A mix between Piñatas and Pietarts?! :P
avatar
TheMonkofDestiny: Here I was thinking it was more a combination of piñata and frittata.
Yummmmy! ;p
avatar
vicklemos: And I was gifted with a nice piñata but the marvelous dude who bought me these ALSO has the two games inside it: Shelter and Terraria. What do we do now?! :(
Tips?
avatar
Sockerkaka: Trade them maybe? Can't say I'm familiar with GOG's gifting system but someone must want to play with lovely badgers :P otherwise I think you can contact the support and get store credit instead, or your money back, I can't really remember which one :P
Thanks for the pro tips my dear wormheades bluish perplex dude ;)

I got Blackwell Bundle and immediately hid it in my library, never gonna play it, so worst spend $3 ever. :(
This is pretty lousy if you own a ton of games physically.
Don't gamble

I got Legend of Grimlock, been meaning to get that for the longest time now.
I was rather disappointed, as I thought it was an ad for Viva Pinata. Say what you will about Rare these days, but that game was addicting as hell.

mrkgnao: If you look at the code of the checkout page, you can see the piñata ID before purchasing it. Has someone figured out if there is a correlation between ID and game?

I bought one and got:
1449801923: Machinarium Collector's Edition
Looks very like the number range of game IDs used by Galaxy launcher shortcuts and in goggame-XXXXXXXXXX.dlll, etc.

Anyone using Galaxy currently have Machinarium installed to look and see if it matches up (I checked my standalone installer version but doesn't seem to use the more recent distribution format)?

But Outlast uses 1207660064, so any correlation from anyone who got it in a Piñata?

Sure, GOG have stated there's no correlation, but who believes anything GOG says these days?

mrkgnao:
Ah, damn, so no way of knowing before paying. Well played GOG.

MaGog has all the game IDs. It's not a game ID; I checked. It's a pinata ID.
Bought a couple out of curiousity and got:

Legend of Grimrock
Volgarr the Viking

I already own Grimrock from humble bundle, therefore i'll see if i can convert it with a gift code, but anyway that was a pretty decent deal.

its not that bad i have it aswell, i bought it myself because i wanted it.

Ah, OK. The numbers are probably just generated from similar ranges by a similar algorithm.
7 Pinatas purchased:

Book Of Unwritten Tales: The Critter Chronicles, The = $22.29
Shelter = $9.99
Terraria = $9.99
Lumino City = $19.99
Spelunky = $14.99
Dust: An Elysian Tail = $14.99
Guacamelee! Super Turbo Championship Edition = $15.59

I own NONE of these (and I many, many purchased games on GOG), and saved a ton of cash on each. I'm happy. Will come back in a couple of days.
my 4 pinatas:(euros)

1] gods will be watching 8.99
2] legend of grimrock 13.99
3] dust: an elysian tail 13.99
4] jazzpunk 13.99

i have 87 indie games , 95% were bought because i wanted them :D
so its a decent score

i hope the 4 above can be refunded to store credit, this way i can try to get a game i actually can play
but i can only use paysafecard , have no other means .
